Dear Do not have any Idea for the Rims at the moment but I will not recommend to change the Tyre size, the manufacturer had choice to install bigger tiers and they do in many vehicles. This car is designed after R&D work of years and they have choose these tiers as they felt this is best. Think one should stick with the recommended size. Also increasing the tire size will reduce your millage per liter.

I've been driving aqua since last year. A couple of days back i was in a horrible traffic jam for a good hour and half and to arrive at the destination i have to go through Pwd and then Korang town it was all bumpy. What i noticed was my car was between 13 and 15 through out the journey and my total average dropped to 22 from 24. I was on normal mode and with AC. People complaining about the average not getting above 18 or 20 its all about how busy your city traffic is how much you get stuck into those jams and how horrible your driving style is. Oil,filters do play an important though.

1. No Push start feature (It is possible to get original module in pakistan and should i upgrade to PS?)
2. No Multimedia steering (On pakwheels i see around 10k. If i order from ebay or aliexpress it cost me 15k. Even though this is not a big feature missing for me. Your thoughts?)
3. Cruise Control (The only feature which i am interested to have. Cost something around 5k)
So i need suggestions, recommendations. What should i get first. Thanks

Batteries are so much complex and arranged in the system like a way that batteries don't really get any issue when you are on road but the fuel your use, driving foot and other environmental factors makes alot of difference.

Batteries can be checked from simple OBD2 reader (normally term as computer scanner in mechanic terminology) you can learn about the batteries output values when vehicle is turned on with just ignition and then the vehicle in start mode. Atleast Toyota Aqua is a much better investment then to buy Corolla or City for 16-19 lac. You can have batteries test before you buy Aqua from any Scanner.

In Islamabad Nazir Automobile (G-9/4) is a recommended by many. Btw I haven't visited him but heard from various confirmed sources and it really good at service.

1) You can get push start but keeping it this is awesome as that might disturb your vehicle wiring and might end up messing with the original wiring as you might have heard of vehicles burning just because of low quality after market parts.

1. Multimedia Steering can be replaced with a 10K invest by selling this and adjusting price will cost you around 5k-8k depending upon your bargain in Sultan Kuh Rawalpindi or Bilal Ganj Lahore.

2. Cruise Control is standard in Aqua G series and above. If your is L or S then you have to get it's wiring installed and get the cluster display change too. I have heard that it cost around 15k. Mine was equiped with the wiring just added the cruise stick installed myself for just Rs. 900 PKR.

Well Cruise works from 40 km/hr to 114 km/hr. You can't have car cruising at 120. You have to keep your foot busy for that.

I would advice you to keep car as it comes to you just add up multimedia steering if interested in few features :). You can learn about your car from owner manual if receiving with the car.

Im aware of OBD scanning for batteries but i am from hyderabad and im not sure there are mechanics qualified enough to deal with hybrids here. Except maybe toyota dealerships. I have a cousin in japand who exports cars so im not worried about the quality of the car, im just worried about what troubles i might face in the long run, as i keep my cars for atleast 5 years before i upgrade

It should or it would as its not a normal driving technique, neither is its engine designed to float that way.
Pulse and glide technique is always the best particularly on hybrid engines.
Secondly, it is also highly advisable to run aqua on normal mode also as normal mode makes the most of battery/ petrol combo without putting continuous more pressure on battery when in eco and ev mode more often. This is good for battery health in long run particularly if kms driven are 50k kms plus.
Average wont be too different ( hardly 18- 20 difference) but will go a long way in overall engine health.
Anything above or around 21 kms average on busiest roads is excellent average anyways, which you should get with normal mode also....

My Aqua 2014 does not have a 'Normal mode', the only two buttons on the console below the hand brake are 'EV' means running on battery alone, (not of much use as after a near full charge the car would only go 1-3 KM) but 'Echo' button turns the 'echo mode' on & off with echo mode indicator going on & off on display. are you referring to 'Echo mode off' as 'Normal mode'?

Driving on congested Karachi roads on short 3-4 KM trips with A/C & Echo mode off gives me about 15 Km/L. Is this the kind of mileage I should be getting? Would it be better if I use the 'Echo mode' for these trips?

What is the essential difference between the 'Echo mode' On & Off ?

Yeah, That's the kind of mileage I get on congested Karachi roads, esp. on short 3-4 Km trips with A/C & Echo mode off, I wondered if something was wrong with my car, but talking to other drivers I am finding that this is the kind of mileage others are getting too!
But my question is that is it not better to drive in 'Echo mode' ON for such trips?

Bro, when you are neither using EV mode or ECO mode on, its called Normal mode. There is no button or light indication to it.

As for low average on only 3- 4 km drive on a busy traffic, you will always get 15 - 16 km/l average. Thats normal. If you happen to drive always on short intervals with heavy traffic, it is highly recommended to use Eco mode only then.

But if you drive over 10 kms or more daily, than normal mode would give you best mileage and drive pleasure

For short trips its better to use ECO Mode. Mileage will be far better than on normal mode.
Well i got 18km/L on a jammed packed road with AC and without ECO.
P.S its a 1500cc engine with hybrid tech still its far far better than the stupid City or Corolla if it comes to mileage even when you can't get the batteries charged on a busy road

If is just a budget proposal unless passed by parliament and hope it will be approved without any changes in this clause. After approval it will be implemented from 1st july 2018. Now tax exemption on hybrid is 50% which is further reduced to 25% in this budget proposal which translates to 75% exemption. Means overall we will get 25% more exemption from current tax structure.

Yes there is some confusion which need clarity. it is mentioned for electric car but it is also mentioned that duty is reduced to 25% from 50% and this 50% was imposed on hybrid not on electric.
