It should or it would as its not a normal driving technique, neither is its engine designed to float that way.
Pulse and glide technique is always the best particularly on hybrid engines.
Secondly, it is also highly advisable to run aqua on normal mode also as normal mode makes the most of battery/ petrol combo without putting continuous more pressure on battery when in eco and ev mode more often. This is good for battery health in long run particularly if kms driven are 50k kms plus.
Average wont be too different ( hardly 18- 20 difference) but will go a long way in overall engine health.
Anything above or around 21 kms average on busiest roads is excellent average anyways, which you should get with normal mode also....
