Talking of tyres in particular, the manual is designed for Japanese roads where low profile small tyres serve the purpose well. There is no doubt the lighter the rims and tyres, better the economy with a compromise on road grip of coarse. Manual also says to have tyre pressure of 35 front and 33 at back. If we go with it in Pakistani bumpy and cracked roads, the tyres will burst or get deshaped in 20000 kms at max. For our roads and a pleasant and smooth drive, 32 PSI of front and 30 of Back are just excellent.

So, the issue with 185/ 65/ 15 tyres is to cater to low height of the car in context of our roads here without disturbing the aero dynamics as well as gaining better road grip. The only compromise is a bit of fuel economy but the benefits are good enough to tolerate this much at least. Atleast , with it, car never touches the breakers anymore and passes through it with ease.

When selecting the engine oil for these cars, do check if they are catalyst safe or not, this is mentioned either at the back of the pack or the brochure of the company. Most catalytic converter in JDM cars are being screwed due to using inferior oils, its good that now additives are also available which do a pretty decent job of cleaning these converters if they are not completely choked without any funkari being performed.

For choked catalytic we are here those catalytic additives are only mean to just clean catalytic in a manner while driving (that could be a piece of mind though) but for intense form you need to get professional services. We are doing choked catalytic converter cleaning with pre and post results comparison along with car performance and fuel economy boost up. We have multi level cleaning process which bring catalytic to new.

I heard someone on older say aqua petrol tank is 36ltr but i think its more then 45 there is no orange light on still was on green..

Quiet strange change your fuel station.. mine never filled above 32 litres....

It's there in owner's manual of aqua,36L.
Try getting filled a gallon from the same pump to check their meter.

Any suggestions regarding the most suitable engine oil for Toyota aqua in Karachi/ Pakistan? Manual says only 0 - 20 or 5- 20 . But Is it good for Pakistani hot environment as in Japan temperature never goes beyond 30 in general and here its over 30 for 10 months or so.....
They say always go by the manual . Research says that JDM and particularly hybrid cars must run on fully synthetic oils. No two words about that but does 0 -20 survive in our climate or ZIC - 0 - 30 would be a better option for here when its a bit hot and engine is not new either??

obviously anything above viscosity of 30 is out of equation for hybrid and JDM cars anyways and its nothing but screwing your engines as hybrid engines being internally cold never support above 30 viscosity thicker oils .... so in short 0 - 20 or 0 - 30 ????

0 - 20 only available in Kixx or Liqui molly ( which is quite expensive)
0 - 30 available in Zic (and Honda I believe)

Is Kixx a good enough brand??? ZIC surely is....

Which is the best option?...

Prius doesnt have less than 15" profile even L Package has 15 only the tyre size is different in L & S/G, all 3 have 15" Rims.

AOA all aqua owners, I have a query and would like you all eperts to shed some light on it. I have a 2014 aqua and ev indicator light colour is green, where as in some aquas it’s white? Can somebody please explain if it is because of the model/year difference or something is wrong with my aqua?

Hi,
I am using ZiC X7 0w-30 it quite suitable for my Aqua.
I have tried also 0w-20 Kixx but it sligtly dropped my millage and then I again back to ZIC.
I also think some Toyota dealership in Lahore is also selling Original Toyota 0w-20 Oil in Rs 6000. Which is really expensive.
I suggest you use ZIC 0w-30 and change at 5000 KM interval.

Thanks Wahab... I myself is more inclined towards Zic 0 - 30 but a bit confused as manual says 0 - 20 viscosity at max and its only available in Kixx , no choices in that ......

Any more inputs guys ???

I m calmly looking the conversation for such long time related to oil concern. I can see people are more emphasizing on maintenance parts while neglecting the driving aspects. Off course tuning and right choice of maintenance parts do play role in rise up of milage but driving style and daily driving needs are main point which we should not ignore.

Few tips that might helpful for you guys to obtain more milage per litre. The tips are for those who are desperate to get milage.

• Do check your tyres pressure and do check your wheel balancing and alignment of tyres. Also check if you did not have installed tyres in large size than standardized Tyre.

• use hi octane + normal petrol in ratio (60hobc + 40 normal) it ll let you get rid off lots of things specially knocking problem.

• do polite on acceleration means try to shift your rpm as low as possible in range (1500 to 2500 rpm) As early you come to top Gear ll give a lighter form to car. Don't drag much your car in first gear. It engulf the fuel like freaking hungry beast.

• avoid sitting in a car in ac while engine on. It takes more fuel than you think.

• avoid at your maximum to go to rush areas. It takes more fuel when you drive your car in 1st gear. Even rush hour be polite on accelerator peddle while crawling in rush time.

• do change your air filter every 2 months or around 3000 to 3500km.

• use low grade oil as much your car engine allow and as recommended by car manual but it's proportional to your car milage as well.

In extraction and just to let you understand whatever thing or habit which makes your car lighter can role in your fuel economy.

P.s. tuning is also main aspect for fuel economy.

Start doing these steps and let me know after 15 days that how much you improved actually.

Have been following this thread for some time now. After reading so much about Toyota Aqua I decided to buy one.
I bought 2014 Aqua S, its a brand new car only 9000 kms driven with a big dent on rear door.
Looking forward to share my experience soon.
