Toyota Prius, DTC codes of C1203, C1345, C1451solved.
Model 2014, (3rd Generation).
Car checked in with several issues i.e EGR wasn't working at all and Traction control light was also ON along with check engine light.
Initial Diagnostic showed that ABS unit is in non functional state, due to Linier solenoid valve is stuck middle of nowhere and reporting malfunction to ECM.
Procedure started with EGR Cleaning as disassembly of Toyota Prius EGR is easy to disassemble than Toyota Land cruiser. During disassembly of EGR unit evidence of leakage found near EGR hose connected at Engine side, probably somebody earlier opened it and refixed EGR without respective gasskit packing, which was causing heavy vacuum leak from engine side.
Reassembly with proper gasskit and cleaning of whole unit found fruitful as fuel trims started to adjusting themselves to nearest of stock position.
At second stage the next bigger challenge was to fix the ABS unit with struck linier solenoid valve. During verbal discussion regarding DTC codes of C1203, C1345, C1451, Most of our fellows tuners were convinced, that whatever the case is we have to replace the ABS unit with new one, some of them were even quoting the prices of new ABS unit, which were not less than Rs.60000/.
Calibration of linier solenoid valve started along with excessive air release Procedure from ABS unit multiple times, fixed the issue and ABS unit became fully functional, DTC codes of C1203, C1345, C1451were vanished away from Dashboard and DTC memory as well.
During test drive car was feeling like brand new car, Fuel trims were very much satisfactory, EGR and ABS modules both were working fine as per commands of ECM.
Procedure took 9 hours , No spare parts has been replaced, No sensor was replaced, only one liter of brake oil was used for brake breathing process. Car checked out in perfect state.
