You are in for a really confusing analysis my friend. I still haven't been able to decide which one to prefer out of these 2. Both have equal pros and cons in different aspects and it's a seriously tough call.

bro I use to be hardcore fan of Honda. I have reborn that was of my father's previous car, my father has new one and ghar pe city. But this time I m pissed with our local manufacture's because I had been waiting for almost 6-8 months for new city to arrive. and secondly the only REASON I don't like Reborn any more is that over fourth or fifth day iski tank full karani parhti hai who bhi hi octane ki lambi line mein lag ke: (
I want to try JDM for its technology and comfort. Couple of years back we had Vitz Bulldog but EXPERIANCE WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL.

Have them all, own them all, drive them all. Prius is a wonderful and awesome car, a real treat and money well spent. But there is something about Honda and specially the 8th Gen Civic. I agree its a serious fuel guzzler but Reborn has it's own charm. And that is why i said Prius will be a confusing analysis. It's hard to reach a verdict what to prefer

Aoa. Can some user give me realistic and on ground figures of Prius 1.8 Fuel economy in City traffic (like that of Rawalpindi) and on Highway (both motorway and GT road ; with and without AC). the mileage which he is getting, not what Mr X said or uncle Y said. Regards

The max i have achieved with AC in Lahore is 22, 23 by driving like a nun for the heck of it. But driving in normal conditions i regularly get 19, 20
Took it once to Sargodha via motorway and average was 18.5 with speeds of 120 and above till 150. Via GT road went to Gujranwala driving a bit rash due to circumstances and got 19. Have yet only had the opportunity to take it on just these 2 out of city trips.
The car is an S-Led 1.8 with 205/65-15 Bridgestone Ecopia tyres

The max i have achieved with AC in Lahore is 22, 23 by driving like a nun for the heck of it. But driving in normal conditions i regularly get 19, 20
Took it once to Sargodha via motorway and average was 18.5 with speeds of 120 and above till 150. Via GT road went to Gujranwala driving a bit rash due to circumstances and got 19. Have yet only had the opportunity to take it on just these 2 out of city trips.

Like i said "driven like a nun" it does 22-23 in city but life is too busy to put such stresses on the brain. And also i did mention "rash driving" on GT road. And 120 plus even upto 150 on motorway.
If being a nun is the driving criteria i once tried and got 17 from my 1.8 9th Gen Civic. But that's not the point. Driving should be fun not mental boredom
In any case City having a smaller engine does not compare to Prius 1.8

The 1.5 has those figures in city but in long it does 18-19, I just don't have the heart to test it at a low speed in the long, a bit too throttle happy

Same here bro, throttle happy and driving a 1.3 Automatic City 2010 being throttle happy gave me 11-12 in local and not more than 14-15 at motorway. It's boring to drive on motorways and highways under speed limit. I start feeling sleepy if I'm not way beyond the speed limits

But aik buhut bara rowla hai
I think it has TRD Spring because yeh gari itni neechey hai that I hit quite a few jumps with two person on board only : (
Need your suggestion where to get its springs changed and should I get the car a little raised aswell because current tyre in this is 215/40/18
Suggest me what to doooooo

Oooops, that's a bit too much if you have to keep it as a practical runner. Driven friend's S touring and I already thought that touring suspension with 17" rims would be a slight pain to drive carelessly on potholes and bumps but 18" is way ahead even. My S-Led with 205/65-15 even hits bumps underneath if passing a grave shaped breaker of Pakistani roads with 2 people at the back. So have to slightly tilt at angle and be dead slow for such situations to avoid underbody hitting the grave's peak point. I hate raised cars with spacers at back, seems like a kamani wala taanga when a prius is out of level. Look gets ruined so i opted for one+ tyre size in my case and rest be patient with higher bumps. In your case whatever you do don't get desi juggaar. I would recommend going for original touring 17 rims and one+ tyre size of touring, either same width bigger profile of stock recommendation on 17 or same profile one+ width, the latter may effect consumption though.
Such beautiful bigger rims and extra low profiles suit if the usage is only on motorways or flat roads without speed graves and potholes but not for practical uneven surfaces like we have. You end up either damaging the rim, tyre or even suspension by using such specs on our majority rough roads

Well id like to comment here. You need to drive a car yourself to understand how it behaves. Especially when it comes to economy figures. The consumption majorly depends on the driving style. I've managed to get 31kmpl from a prius and the same car did 24 on the same route, both with A/C. These are not just like 1 time figures i can achieve it day in day out. I've achieved 20~21 (reading on cars display) between lahore and faisalabad with cruise at 110.
On a side note, we're getting 23~24 from our vezel, but if somebody asks me the how I'm averaging i mention 20. Because I know people expect to buy a hybrid, drive it like any other car and expect to get FREE transportation, which doesn't happen. Most of the prii I've seen average between 17 and 19..
If you're thinking of buying a prius for your city just for saving money on fuel, my brotherly suggestion would be, don't even think about it. The money it saves you on gas would go back and level for the competitively higher maintenance rate. But, on the other hand if you're looking for an upgrade, looking for quality, comfort and features. If say you can trust a prius with your eyes closed.

aoa... first of all thanks loads for writing a detailed reply to my post. Secondly, bhai aap nay tau mujhay aisay samajh liya hay jaisay FX say upgrade kar raha hoon, that too a Type R sticker waalee FX hehehe...just kidding. I am a seasoned (and i wud claim, a PRO hypermiller) on any car i have driven/owned to date, so yeah i m very sure i know that if i drive the car harsh it wont give me any average. As a reference, i can tell u that i have clocked 24.3 km to a liter from Pindi to Haripur on my Honda City My point wasnt in the sense that i would own a Prius, drive it like a Lambo and expect figures of 50 km to a liter. Nonetheless, i wanted to "clarify" as ppl here on Pakwheels have been claiming to have averaged more than 32 "REGUALRLY" in local drive, specially on this new gen Hybrid Synergy (the 1.8s). Otherwise, i have no doubt whatsoever about the JDM quality, value for money, drive, comfort, safety and all the other features. By the Grace of Almighty have 3 JDMs parked at my parents (all searched and suggested by me) with at least 20-30 cars searched and recommended to friends all over the country was owner of a Platz 2003 before this City and till today claim this new car is **** infront of what that was. Anyways,i got my answer, thanks to u, that if i drive the Prius the way i drive my city, i wud be getting the figures much higher than the other brother have mentioned here as his replies suggest that he has a heavy foot. i on the other hand, never ever EVER cross speed limits (fauji bunda hoon....rules ka aashiq)

Go for 205/60 instead of 195/60 on 16. 195/60-16 gets further lower than even 195/65-15
