I want to buy Prius, but since Prius 1.8 doesn't come under by budget so I am looking for Prius 1.5.
Mostly I see people buying and talking about 1.8 so I am confused if 1.5 not the right choice? Could anyone please tell me if Prius 1.5 is the right choice to buy considering budget which is around 20 to 21 lac? Can I expect to get Prius 1.5 G Touring 2011 in this price range?
Also could anyone of you please tell me authentic genuine dealers in Islamabad/Rawalpindi who deal with genuine Prius cars as I read in this thread that there are many dealers who temper mileage and auction sheet etc.
Appreciate if anyone can help.

Any idea how much would it cost to get Prius 1.5 G Touring? Also any idea why 1.8 is more common than 1.5? What I mean to ask what the benefits that people choose 1.8 instead of 1.5, apart from the engine capacity?

Probably a lac or a bit more difference would be there but i'm not completely sure. 1.8 is common because of the import age restriction of 3 years plus it looks a lot better than its predecessor and is more powerful too.

the average gets affected but if the tyre is ECO friendly and is one of those which has minimum resistance the MPG wont be affected . i am still getting 20 to 22kpl with AC . But i have a very light foot and never ever force the car however i am sure the comfort level of ur car has increased.

IMO your undercarriage goes through hell during rain- rocks, twigs, muddy water in the cracks and crevices, etc. That stuff is acidic and it can corrode your car. Get the undercarriage washed but dont let them touch the paint. Theyll screw it up ( guaranteed). Also dont let them spray anything but water. No oil, kerosine, etc.. you can take some meguiars or 3m degreaser with you if it is excessively dirty.

What I saw a few days ago at the I-8 Markaz Shell pump that a sky blue Prius, also a 3rd Gen was getting serviced. The not-so-wise owner got the engine washed with pressure water. That was a pure recipe for disaster right there, the car would've easily become a barbecue grill. I am amazed at the level of intelligence of such people who have the money to buy such cars but have nothing called as sense. Prius kafi log lay to rahay hain har kisi ko iss ki samajh nahi hai, jinko nahi hai woh please civic ya corolla le lain Prius se parhaiz karain.

The engine bay should be steam cleaned. Running a wet cloth over plastics on the engine bay wont make it 'detailed'. Anyways, we're talking about the undercarriage here..
