Dear PW's i need to now about the above 3 prius's
1-Is the price tag high or low.??
2-How can i know the faults meaning electrical problems??
3-Will i have any problem in getting spares and maintainence stuff oil filter,air filter etc??
4-Which one do you think is better..??
5- How can i check if the battery is in good condition ??

Keeping in mind that if i do find a good prius it will be my first JDM and i dont want to go to mechanics now and then.And does toyota I-9 do check ups of these hybrids..??

First of all check that mentioned mileage are correct or not. Because hybrid's main problem will be its battery.

My uncle have bought prius of 19 lacs but now it's battery is dead and getting worser day by day

THis is the first battery complaint I have ever hear! are you sure its not the normal 12V battery?

First of all check that mentioned mileage are correct or not. Because hybrid's main problem will be its battery.

Not a wise option. Unless you get it from your own trusted source coz more than 70% of prius's are with tempered odo meter reading.

and yes. You will face problems in finding spares and maintaining this car.
No one will touch this car if it broke down in the middle of road.

But in prius case main thing its battery. Dealers are importing prius of more than 1 lac mileage.

FAK,

Most of the JDM's imported in Pakistan are high millage cars.

What I read about the Prius on the net is that ;
2nd generations (1.5ltr engine ones) have lot of issues.
Battery is the most expensive part @ 4000US$.
Its a very complex car, I doubt you will get support in case your car develops a problem.
Consider the price of car, cost of battery in case it goes dead................

Are you saving or loosing money.

If I were you I would not gamble my hard earned money on Prius and buy a regular petrol engine car.

Choice is yours

Its best to avoid Prius for sometime in Pakistan they are making you buy junkyard stuff.

Any product (specially complex ones) are only good if you get 100% technical support for it. Otherwise you are on your own in the dark. You might be lucky and pass the headache on the next person when the time comes but nevertheless the time will come with a giant headache to sort out.

Sir you are absolutely right here.

The problem is that importers have batteries 160,000 for Chinese and 350,000 for Thailand OEM ones but no technicians who have the basic knowledge to properly wire them and replace the batteries.

They say 'shart ho gaya tu hamari zimadari nahi'.

Lets hope things will improve since Toyota have launched Prius for 4.5M or nearly 45K $ and Honda has launched CR-Z for 3.2M or 32K$ here.

Yet to see them on road though.

Toyota launched corolla when many of us weren't even born and they still don't get it right specially when it comes to parts and maintenance, why would things be any better for the prius?
