I don't think it's gonna be launched here. They already know that no one will buy it at this price when 2010 model is available at almost 2.5 million lesser price. or in other words, you can buy two 2010 models in this price

I gues they forgot to send the email to Toyota capital motors and toyota islamabad motors. Because what i said was from them. Still I am really looking forward for it to be launched as it will ensure us prius owners an easy availability of parts

Which car they gona launch ....prius gen 5 .the gen 5 plugin costs like more then 3.5 million. Who gona buy?
2ndly 3rd gen prius imported one costs for 2.5 million.
Do u ever thinked that in 2013 they gona make 2012 model prius?

Guys today I received an email from Indus motor person stating that prius Pakistan is going out for sale in december by IMC, pricing PKR 5 million.
following is the image of spec table I received.
any one having any further information, plz share....

i got the news from a confirmed source, its says 3.2 - 3.5 million

people in Pakistan dont buy cars to save fuel,

they buy cars to impress others, to top it all - it should have super awesome pick, as in it should be able to do 160 km/h in less than 8 seconds from standstill, have the softest air bags in it, a suspension supplied by citroen and it should accept CNG, it should also be serviceable according to the following standards

1 - use the cheapest engine oil
2 - use leppon as "jenyan filter"
3 - should be 100% serviceable by any mechanic in any "pind" of Pakistan
4 - should retain 100% resale value even after 10 years.

It wont - its a depreciating asset and its built to wear out very quickly.

a more correct way would be to compare a NEW IMPORT Prius from Japan to the one they are offering in Pakistan.

One advantage of locally made prius, we will be able to get our JDM prius properly serviced and maintained here in pakistan and purchase JDM prius with confidence that its complex issues can now be solved in pakistan, such as in case of major accident.

this is the case with majority of vehicle owners who donot like to keep their car maintained, and in the end they curse car manufacturers "gadi tay kharak gayi ay ik saal wich"....

What is the price of base A4? Brand new or 3 series..

Fuel saving at cost of paying million and more above IMC or Atlas sedan upfront. I don't see cost fuel saving for which a prius is famous.. forget about clean green environment..

according to this, bmw 3 (active hybrid) cost 4.8M. if this is the case, buying prius for 4.5M would make even less sense.
