Toyota Reverse Camera has become Foggy

I am facing an issue with my Reverse Camera, it's original cam which has become Foggy to the extent it's become useless. Toyota guy says that it's water damaged and only option is to change with a new one, cost 11-12k. I am in Karachi, car is 2012 ALTIS. Kindly guide what's the best solution

My friend had the same issue but he applied a totka which I must warn you might completely ruin your camera or it might fix it. PROCEED WITH CAUTION ( Take a lighter and pass infront of the lens of the camera a few times being mindfull that it doesn't burn the lens, do this until the fog clears). Personally I sugest getting an aftermarket camera.

usually happens when u get ur car serviced from a service station maned by someone who love to service the corollas more than a merc...so they manage that water reaches places where none could able do ever before...

kindly be patient and let the condensation go away itself, ur camera is fine and in due course of time the blurry foggy white milky image will improve...

had the camera been fried ,the HU would have mentioned NO SIGNAL etc etc..

happened with me last month when i choose over enthusiastic and a bit sentimental guys towards corolla to service the cars...

they did excellent job in cleaning but the same issue came up in almost10 years of camera life..

being fed up, i left it as it is and it came back to life on its own after 3 4 days, working fine since then..Alhamdolillah

Suggest to your friend to use a hair dryer next time instead of a lighter....I think this might work better.
Rest update is that camera is back to normal, working however two things are amiss .... It's showing a flipped image(note the camera caption is not flipped and is regular) secondly the red/orange/green markings are not showing
