KARACHI: Indus Motor Company held the sixth Toyota Technical Educational Programme (T-TEP) Career Day at the Government College of Technology, Lahore, said a press release issued here on Tuesday. On the occasion, sixteen graduating students were short-listed to start job training for employment in Indus Motors and in the Toyota Dealership Network.
Additional Secretary Welfare, Procurement and Transport, Government of Punjab, Capt (R) Muhammad Khurram Agha was the chief guest on the occasion.
Capt Agha praised the efforts of Indus Motors Company and Toyota Motor Corporation and lauded the role of Toyota Technical Educational Programme in bridging the gap between industry and technical education.
He was appreciative of the fact that T-TEP was being run without any commercial consideration. He suggested that similar programmes be initiated in other areas.
Senior General Manager Marketing & Sales IMC thanked GCT for collaborating with Indus Motors.
He mentioned that Toyota focused on its two pillars—-respect for people and continuous improvement. It is in this spirit that Toyota Technical Educational Programme was set up in Pakistan.
