Toyota showroom/dealer mixed water in fuel of just delivered Toyota Fortuner Diesel model

This is my first post on Pakwheels.

I wish to bring a very serious issue to your attention. I took delivery of a Diesel Toyota Fortuner at Lahore Toyota Township motors. The vehicle's alarms went off the minute I left the showroom. The display indicated that there was water in the diesel. Toyota opened the fuel filter and there was water pouring out of it. Over half the fuel that the showroom had filled up was water. They blamed it on a nearby PSO station that supplied them with Diesel. I accompanied them to the accused PSO station and took a sample, which was inspected on spot by the showroom staff. The fuel was of perfect quality with no traces of water. I documented (videos and pictures) all these events for evidence. With nowhere to hide due to the inconclusive evidence, the showroom apologised for messing up my just delivered car, but I was told by a couple of the staff that this incident had happened with 2 or 3 other vehicles prior to mine.

The same people own one or two other Toyota dealerships in Lahore. I request the Pakwheels community for your support.

Toyota Township get their supply from this PSO and they claimed that this place is known to add water in Diesel... Come to think of it, why would Toyota Township keep getting their Diesel supply from a Petrol Station they know adds water to Diesel.

I asked them to escalate this issue to Toyota Indus, instead I was offered other alternative benefits for not exposing the matter. I am hoping that the Pakwheels community will support me in exposing Toyota Township motors and all their owned dealerships.

According to the staff, the incident had been reported 2 or 3 times before this. If the dealership if this negligent with a 6.5 mil car, strict action should be taken against them.

I say an investigation should be initiated against this dealership by IMC and all CCTV feed be acquired if that could help. Consumer court may also be brought in. This is a serious lapse

raza hasan, moderator here, I feel really bad and understand your point of view, and yes its a matter of high value... kisi ki brand new vehicle ka kabara kerna or phir bachany ki koshish kerna kahan ka insaaf hai...

please follow up on highest priority.. inki tibiyat theek kerna zurori hay..

for your concrn about uploading fotos..

you need to understand the pakwheels websit automatically start rejecting "external" links like you google bucket if you do it like a DOS attack... its a standard behavior to avoid spammers..

I would advise to use the icon highlighted in image below to upload fotos ... (u can use ur google fotos there as well)

Brother please email ur concerns along with photos and videos to IMC Customer relations department. Dont ever compromise on it. They will handle the issue very well.

Last month, in april i had to get my corolla’s delivery from showroom. I went and asked for inspection prior signing any document. I inspected and found a small dent on front left door. I told dealership that i wont accept a new car with such dent. They offered me getting it repaired, upon my denial they also offered to replace whole door. I denied that as well and at the first place asked to replace whole car. I took photos of frame & body number and emailed to IMC, dealership. Also talked to DM Customer relations IMC. And within 5 days i got delivery of another car with no such things.

The purpose of telling u this is to please dont sit quiet and raise your concern to appropriate level. You spent a whole lot of money not to end up in such a situation. Please do talk to IMC, their customer relations is not negligent..

Thanks for the advice. Now I have contacted IMC regarding the issue. It is whole lot of constant stress for me knowing that I have paid so much for a damaged vehicle. Hoping they can replace it ASAP. Other issues with the vehicle have popped up too. Im at another dealer right now to get an assessment

IMC is investigating the matter as we speak. I explicitly made my position clear that I would not settle on anything less than strict punitive actions be taken against Toyota Township.

I shall keep Pakwheels updated about the outcome of this investigation. The best we can do right now is boycott Toyota Township.

Now I'm not sure if the damage is serious. Just started the engine, something seemed off.

But I'll be keeping a close eye, until IMC offers me its final word

To all new owners, is it possible if the owner tells them to put any kind of fuel in the car till he is present and that he/she will bring the fuel with them. At least this way you be sure that what kind of fuel is being put in your brand new car.

Same story happened with my 2D saloon 2010...when I got my refill from GT road...Same message appeared...I got my filter replaced..whole fuel tank washed..later I realized that pump used irani diesal plus reservoir tank was too old and had water contamination

This is indeed a big issue. Let me narrate my story here. Back in Feb I got delivery of my Revo in black color for Toyota Rawal here in Isb. The vehicle had a scratch big one and the solution I was offered was a repaint. I could not wait for another vehicle as I needed it for travelling right away. This was not it the vehicle looked like crap from inside out because of shitty cleaning specially with dirty clothes, one could see swirls as well as dirty dusty interior cleaned mixed with water marks. I took all pics made video and shared with IMC customer service. What happened?? Nothing zilch 0. Now I said ok They have launched a new diesel fortuner let's go for that. So I sold my Revo and got a Fortuner booked. Followed it till last day to ensure they don't mess up my fortuner on delivery. I check it on delivery for any issues can't highlight any so take it. Next day I take it for glass coat and discover small dents and a scratch which had been applied kalam on. I take pictures make video share it with dealership and IMC customer support. What happens the dealership tells me sir honestly your car is far better than what we have seen...We will investigate the scratch and get back..IMC customers support tells me the same. Result 0, zilch, nothing. They don't even remember to reply, and even on reminders they don't give a shit. Truth is Honda or Toyota quality and delivery of service is pathetic crap 0. And they don't give a shit. Paint quality is crap these days and they don't care. Leni ha lo nai lena jao...wish we get more choice then they will suffer big time with this shit service.

Last week, I contacted IMC about this issue. I shared all the evidence videos and pictures with them. (Some of which I have not shared here to maintain privacy of people being recorded in the video). IMC assured me that a transparent investigation will be initiated against Toyota Township motors.

For the past 5 days, I got no followup from IMC. I repeatedly texted them for any update and called them multiple time, but nobody responded. It was like the issue was being dragged such that I would give up and forget about it.

But I was determined to get justice for myself and all those wronged by Toyota Township motors. After multiple failed attempts, I persevered. I was able to get one of them to attend my call. I kept my nerve after all that I had gone through, and IMC assured me that they were still investigating.

I shall try to keep this issue alive, however long it may take to get Justice for what Toyota Township did to me, and those other customers prior to me (who were unfortunate that they did not document all the evidence like I did)

Sir same like you I don't let go. But trust me once you have taken delivery and taken the vehicle out of show room they will never do anything. Even if you car was scratched or dented what will they do?? They will change your car max. Right?? What will happen then? They will repaint the same vehicle, or take out the dent and give it to someone else. Simple. Honestly I am sick of Toyota and Honda both. I have kept both and both delivery system is pathetic...PATHETIC. Almost all vehicles are scratched, or have paint defects, for a real good car enthusiast when you take it for glass coating you get to see how many deffects they have in paint job....scratches under the laquor, scratches on paint...drop spreads....thin thick layers....you name it they have issues. Dealership themselves say shukar kareen app ki gari itni achi condition mein mill gayee hai....what can you say to that??? Only solution is competition. More options.
