Toyota Starlet 1986 Engine Swap Recommendation

Salam pakwheelers!
I have a Toyota Starlet '86, it has a 1E 1000cc 12 valve engine in it. The engine is currently dead, and needs overhauling according to the mechanic. Car is sitting idle for a year now. I am thinking of a swap please recommend good possible engine swaps to me.

My priorities are Fuel economy, slight power boost, reliability.

I was thinking of 5efe swap but ig they are so hard to find, someone suggested to go with Vitz 1300 engine as it fits bolt on in starlet, but not sure about it.

1nzfe or 2nzfe.
Nothing will be bolt on other then E series engines.
You can retain the oem mounting points of chassis and fabricate engine brackets according to them.

Now a days complete swap will cost 150-200k.

A friend has a 5efe he pulled out of an 86 starlet, replaced with 4efte. I can ask him about it if you're interested.
