I think you should first get certain things clear.
Nissan and Mitsubishi are amazing vehicles but require a bit of extra care in our country(parts and mechanics wise) Authentic parts and an experienced mechanic goes a long way.
As for toyotas, i would not buy a prado if the main purpose of the vehicle is off roading, if the main purpose is within city use along with some off roading, go for it.
IF your main purpose is off roading and along with that some city use, get a surf.
If you want something that is evenly good at everything, get a LC80.
Lastly, maintenance is gonna cost more or less the same, don't worry about that, you have to get your purchase prices right, for a LC80, surf, prado 2 mil for a trouble free ride. For a Nissan patrol, pajero, 1st gen prado, 1.5 mil for a trouble free ride
