Can anyone suggest the most authentic way of verifying the chassis of a Toyota SUV without of course going for forensic. The number seems good with no fiddling being an import vehicle (absolutely no auction/ amnesty etc). Similarly, documents are in order; however, the mechanics/ dealers have created doubt over the integrity of the chassis number embossed. To rule out the doubt and to save the vehicle/ investment, unwilling to take forensic chance. Has anyone gone through the same and what was the best way to establish the authenticity provided its not tampered/ number deciphered on top etc. An urgent assistance from anyone would be of great help.
