Toyota Vitz 06, slow gear shift response

Hi,
can anybody please guide me on the issue that i have 2006 Vitz automatic... when the engine is cold, the gear shift response is excellent & quick but after few minutes when it's cold symbol goes off then gear shifting becomes very slow... like if im going on high gear and suddenly if i need pick and i press on the paddle it goes to the lower gear very slowly resulting in slow pick... it feels like something stops it from lowering the gear quickly and efficiently... i was thinking does it hav to somthing with gear oil?...

janab when u suddenly press the padle, the vitz goes into lower gear for good pick. its a company added feature, its not a fault. ok

change transmission oil if u are facing shifting problem.

get the gear oil checked ..

by the are you running on gas? .... CNG has tendency for sluggish shifts

when the system is cool the torque convertor will not lock and the transmission will delay all gearshifts - to get the engine to warm up quickly. Once warm it shifts normally - which you are considering as something is wrong.

Delayed downshift?? can you explain that more precisely.. The autobox will downshift and it will take time to downshift - do not expect it to shift like a BMW M or mercedes AMG
