Assalam o alaikum..
I was in trouble from 1 year for my vitz due to fuel consumption and performance like a hell.. BTW i have searched so much about vitz performance improvement ,then came to the point to take decision for changing my gear ( cvt) oil and removing the catalytic convertor..
By doing the the 3-4 hours job by my self i had achieved my goal and ALHAMDULILLAH my car performance meet to my expectations. Now after changing gear oil (toyota geniune cvt-tc) and removing catalytic convertor the performance increases by 30-35% and the km/L is jumps from 8 km/L to 11-12km/L almost. After that i am more than satisfied now by the help of different threads about this issues on pakwheels..

Exactly what happened with my car. My car is a 2003 model. The gear oil was changed and Cat. Converter wad removed. The car is amazing now! Average increased to 11 km/l

As per my understanding, what you have done is not called as "Performance Improvement"

Replacement of transmission oil is part of maintenance for vehicle to operate trouble free and removal of CAT is like taking away a vital part of the exhaust system. Should have replaced it...

The best fuel consumption for Vitz 1.0L is 21.6 km/l, so u are still far behind. Max. What I have achieved is 18 to 19 km/l with 100% A/C on highway and around 14.5 to 15.5 with extra urban with A/C 100% in operation. But I use only unleaded HOBC. I have vitz 2013 model, with 10500 on the odometer.

High Octane Blending Component, you call high octane petrol.

Certain components are added into petrol to increase the Octane rating of petrol. This prevents the vehicle from knocking due to pre-ignition in combustion chamber.
