Toyota Vitz 2010 vs Honda City 2010 (Urgent replies required)

Dear all,

I am buying my first ever car for my family. The problem is I have finally narrowed it down to 2 cars, a 2010 Honda city and a 2010 Vitz. Both are 35000 km driven and the city is costing me just 1.5 lac more then the vitz which isn't a big deal. Condition is also pretty much the same, but I am confused in the decision between both cars. Kindly let me know which one should I get. Here are the main things I have to focus on.

1) Comfort
2) Driving pleasure
3) Reliability
4) Economy
5) Soundless drive

I just want a car that is quality and actually feels like a 13 lac car. Please guide me as I need to make a decision soon. The Vitz is japanese so that's one thing, but i feel the city might be more comfortable and have better driving pleasure. And yes, i don't plan on installing cng anytime soon.

Honda City 2010 if its Automatic otherwise go for Vitz..

got for vitz if you find one with genuine auction sheet,it will have more driving comfort and more reliable,though not having trunk is an issue but if u dont need that much big trunk then it will solve the issue.are you getting 2010 vitz 1000cc or 1300 cc .if its 1000cc then dont go for that as it will be bit underpower.

The vitz is 1000 and the city is automatic. Well the auction sheet is genuine but i am still really confused. I drove vitz but didn't find it underpowered. City ka mujhe idea nai as i didn't drive it.

If U r getting City 2010 for 10.75-85, then go for it. Vitz drives & feels like any Xli/gli 2002-2008.
If I had to choose the it wud b City.

City is a wiser decision as you're buying for your family don't ignore the trunk requirements.

City I am getting for 12.90 manual and vitz iam getting for 12 full options excluding push start.

We are a 3 person family. Trunk isn't an issue but m afraid it might be bad on potholes.

Your priorities are comfort and driving pleasure.

City has rock solid seats puts a back ache.

The suspension is very hard and there is no such thing as quality in the interior.

Road noise is a lot actually.

Vitz just has engine noise specially for 1.0

For comfort and ease I'd say vitz

go for city if you are looking for something for family. although the vitz is a much superior car in all sense but space. i have a city now - 2011, but till miss my vitz. size does matter.

Alhamdollila i am having both cars but my vote for city , better re-sale , sedan car, better after sales services , better acceleration
vitz underpower in 1.0l specially in summer with ac on however if u add 25 to 30% hi-octain with super than no issues
vitz respond very good in 1.3l
fuel economy of my manual city and auto vitz almost same
no doubt vitz making quality far better than city.

Get the Vitz.... City is all plastic...

If you actually want to feel that you are sitting in a good built and nice car then Vitz is by far better than City...

Ride comfort of a Vitz is great, fuel consumption is good for an automatic...

get the person down to 1,175,000 for the Vitz... You will not be disappointed...

Vitz is better built than City. Agreed.
Air conditioner, Power, Acceleration of city is much more better than a vitz IMHO.
and City offers much more soundless drive than vitz. Remove the catalytic converter of vitz. then see how it behaves. It sounds like a rickshaw.
My vote is for city. proper sedan and better looking.
