Aoa,

I own Toyota Vitz 2013. Its been almost 10 years since I am driving this car. Car is mechanically and electrically perfect and driving is as pleasant as it was on day 1. Now I just want to get the feel of a bigger engine and mileage. I don't really want to change the car sine it is in an excellent condition. I have heard I can install bigger engine 1300cc/1500cc for better mileage and low cabin noise - those two are the only nuances with this car. My current location is Lahore and I want to know if there is a possibility to procure a bigger engine and get it installed? I know 1000cc engines are easily available but I am not looking for that. Anyone who has personally done that or know things around please advise.

My suggestion is to find and upgrade to 1300cc or 1500cc Vitz don't do tweaks in it.

Ksp130 is your chassis and any thing beyond 1.0 is a disaster for the car

Just change the car. Replacing engine is a lot of hassle and most workshops do end up messing things .

Don’t stay attached to one car no matter the condition. Upgrade now.

Also one more thing don’t expect any meaningful change in mileage. Well maintained 1kr Vitz can give 13 to 14km/L in local. The 1.3 and 1.5 will not go above this.

Just the power of the car will significantly increase and engine quietness too.

I had a Vitz 2009 model, I replaced its original 1KR (1000cc) with 2SZ (1300cc). The same gear box was used. I kept the car for 3 years after the swap. A good / proper swap will be a pleasent experience with nice driving pleasure and good fuel economy as well (better than 1KR). But again, it all depends on the availability of good engine as well as good swap work. I'll highly recommend Osama Bhai @syncview in Lahore for the said purpose.
