Toyota vitz 2014 maintenance

Dear Seniors, I recently bought 2014/2017 vitz and currently its odo is 55k. The car was imported by one of my friend and had a grade of 4.5. I want to ask in particular that what prerequisites I shall be carrying out, should I change its all fluids and filters or visit any Toyota dealership to get thorough inspection. Any help would be appreciated.

No need to do anything extraordinary. First, are you sure the mileage is genuine? If so, that's great.

1. Oil change with genuine Toyota filter. 0w20 grade is the best one for this car. Any brand available from authentic places, like Shell 0w20 or Valvoline, Havoline, or Total. I prefer Shell, Havoline and Valvoline.

2. See if cabin/AC filter and air filter need to be changed. Fine to just do it if they look dirty.

3. Don't touch CVT oil. Can use the proper technique to drain and refill after touching 70-80k km. In the proper technique you never open the oil chamber from below. There's a thread on how to do it for Corollas CVT. Same method.

4. If car's vibrating a lot on idle, get throttle body cleaned too.(optional)

5. Not sure when wheel balancing and alignment was done? If so, can do it now. Along with tires rotation. Especially if car pulls to left or right when you leave the steering when driving. (Optional)

6. If brakes status is unknown, get them inspected or serviced (good practice).

That's pretty much it. No need to do any other ustaadian if car is driving fine.

Keep changing oil with genuine filter, 0w20 grade after 5-6k km. Oil and filter change is the only regular maintenance for it specially this early.

Thank you for your prompt response. Mileage seems to be genuine because in auction report it had around 30k and my friend imported in dec/17.

I'll definitely follow the above suggestions. With that said I have read on recent threads regarding the cleaning of throttle body and of Cat too. Do these require cleaning/ service very often, if yes then are these do able by any good skill full mechanic and for the brakes status that you suggested or does one has to go toyota dealership ?

Throttle body cleaning isn't required if your car is not vibrating a lot on idle. Only if it has rough idle clean throttle body.

Don't touch catalytic converter at all.

After 100,000-150,000 km, Only IF your car cannot go above 100-120 speed, even after pressing accelerator, then you can think about "cleaning" it. But not with an acid.

Can you please share the link of that thread because until chamber is open you cant fully drain the old oil.
