Toyota vitz Automatic gear problem urgent help needed

Sir whats done is done....if its confirm cvt oil was used and engine and trans were bought as 1 package, then u need to change the trans oil.

if the prev owner isnt aware of differnt oils fr diff transmission types then i don't think he would know issues that may happen due to it.....faulty map sensor and faulty computer are plain guesses shot at moon

cvt oil is not suitable for this transmission its a 4 speed at transmission use toyota automatic gear oil for it if transmission is not dead till now

dies ut has a obd2 port as well get it scanned if map sensor or some issue is in transmission it should throw the codes get it scanned first before replacing anything

sir first the owner said he put cvt oil now he said he is not sure. is there a way to check if the oil inside is cvt or the at without the packaging? i doubt it though.

Brother instead of any hit and trial, first visit some good garage in your city and have the things sorted out one by one and after thorough investigation, that whether issues lies with engine, transmission, fluids, etc. Or otherwise.

One shouldn't pour ATF in CVT and CVTF in AT, but I think, incompatible fluid cannot cause this much havoc. To me, problem(s) lie somewhere else.

no u cant atf and cvt both are pink and they turn brown after some time u should get it scanned and look for codes if they are present u can post it here

Get under the car and see drain bolt of transmission oil. Something must be written on that bolt like TC or CVT ATF etc. Else pull out the transmission oil dip stick (if there is one) clean it with cloth and see whats written on that. That should be the type of transmission oil used. First thing first confirm and reconfirm the type of oil you have to use. Google it, talk to people but be 100% sure which oil should be used. Then purchase that oil from authorised dealer. Find a mechanic who is able to drain oil completely before pouring in fresh oil. Then see the response if it improves

Dont be disappointed man, even brand new cars run into trouble. Your basic problem is scarcity of competent mechanic. Once you will find one and fix the issue everything will be ok

if there is transmission dip stick then it is AT and needs ATF. there is no dipstick present in the cvt tranny on vitz

Then the type of transmission oil req must be written somewhere.

we dont have good mechanics or electrician in sialkot.that is why i am stuck badly as i bought this for my kids to prevent them from cold while going outside but now

Sorry to hear about it. in this tight scenario my friend. why did you prefer this old car with a Vitz engine swap? YOu should have to be careful. and who likes to lower rpm? Does it impact anything ina positive sense? looks like the previosu owner is ditching you or he dont know about what he had done with his car. And if you return him back the car, i guess he wont take it back. Khair, jo hua so hua. Lets find a solution.

If its like a sensor issue or not, in both cases. get your car scanned and see you get any code errors or not.
Drain out the current transmission fluid and put in the right fluid, open the chamber, clean it properly from inside. (by doing this, may be you waste your time for chaging fluid but might be it works for you, so think about it before doing it).

Find any good vitz mistry and electrician person to check all the wiring done with the ECU and all other necessary wiring etc. YOu have to do something to trace fault. ANd get the car properly tuned and adjust the rpm.

Could be lots of things, but wrong oil wouldn't allow the vehicle to run for so long, but then again, we don't know if the previous owner is telling the truth or lieing. First things first, start the car in P, Rev it, and see what the response is. Then we can take it from there

on the reverse the car runs perfectly no issues no jerking or unusual behaviour, gear stuck or anything.

u r right.that is the main issue. i have taken it to 8 different mechanics + electricians.None of them seem to know the problem. when they can't trace a fault they have 1 response its an altered car,go to the person who altered it or else change the gear.none of them have obd2 scanner. 1 electrician had the scanner and he said there is no need to scan it because the car becomes neutral and loses response from gear while driving then this means the gear has worn out and needs to be replaced. so there is no point in scanning.
