first of all i wanna thank all of u for ur support so far.i really appreciate it. now here is the progress. i was checking around the car going through things and i had a look at the ecu. remember i told u guys that the previous owner told me that it could be a computer issue. so i took it out and i saw on its top 2 NZ-FE. so i said this should be 1sz-fe since 2 NZ is a different series.SO i said well this could be a problem. i called the owner and said to him this is the issue now.i told him u told me pinpoint its an ecu issue now that i can see its not the correct ecu which means u knew that from the start. ironically he had given me a spare ECU with the car. Ofcourse he did not acknowledge the prior knowledge. Anyways i asked him about the spare ECU if that was the correct one as its stamp was torn so i could not see engine type on it. He said spare ECU is not compatible with it. Now i put that spare ECU in the car. The car started perfectly. but as soon as i pressed the Brake pedal to put the car in D gari band ho gaye. I started it again.so everytime i pressed the brake pedal gari band ho jaati.i called him and he said keep presing accelarator and then press brake pedal to change gear so that the car does not turn off. i did that and the car ran perfectly.i ran it for about 30 minutes the gear shifting was perfect. with the previous ECU everytime the car changed gears it was bit jerky not much but bit of jerk. with this ecu the gear transmission was very smooth.There was no issue with the gears getting stuck or getting neutral or not not changing as it was doing previously. But one problem everytime i pressed the brake pedal gari band ho jaati otherwise it ran perfectly.so i called the owner and he said the car is shutting off bcoz the ecu is not compatible with this car, but that shows the problem is not with the transmission. so he told me to go buy a proper 1 sz-fe ecu and it should be ok. so i took half day yesterday from work and rushed to bilal ganj and i found a 1sz-fe ecu. i brought it home put it in the car. The car started perfectly, gear shifting was perfect and very smooth. but the same problem persisted as was the case with that spare ecu,i.e. everytime i pressed the brake pedal the car gari band ho jaati hai.
i want to apologize for the long post and thank u at the same time for bearing with me for this long post. but hopefully u can understand my frustration and anger at the owner as well coz i believe he knew about it from the start.
So lads what could be the issue now? Can we conclude that transmission is fine but the issue lies somewhere else? now that i have installed the proper ECU then why the car is shutting down after pressing brake pedal?
Can anyone diagnose the fault now coz i know u guys might say take it to electrican but over here nobody can diagnose this issue. If you guys can figure out the issue now then i can take it to electrician to fix it as atleast we would know the fault.
