Toyota Vitz Corrosive Radiator Water

Hi, My Toyota Vitz 2003 has corrosive radiator water. I check this water after a week or so. The level remains same. Do i need radiator cleaning or is it fine to carry on..
Any recommendations. I never used coolant since i bought it in used and earlier owner was using water..

Flush your car's radiator and fill it with coolant. All the pipes would have corroded by now.

Thanks for response Zia Sb. Would you like to tell how to flush it, which coolant should i use and if i keep running it in same way, will there be any damage..

Get ur radiator serviced as soon as possible bcz leaving it as it is, will cause u problems in future. Better to invest some bucks now to get away from future headache.
Go to any radiator wala and ask to wash the radiator
then fill with water & drive ur car for 2-3 days
Now visit to ur mechanic & ask him to flush water.
Now put a coolant & u r good to go.
I will suggest u ZIC coolant as it is reasonable. I am using it in my vitz 2001 & quite satisfied.
U will get 4 litres of zic coolant in pkr 1400.

Any idea what kind of problem can be created during long run if radiator isn't cleaned.

It will cause leaks in your cooling system in future.
Engine will overheat bcz radiator will get weak due to several leaks.
It may also blow head gaskit due to rusty water & overheating.
It will also affect the performance of water pump due to rust build up.
AC performance will also be disturbed.
And much more.

how is Guard coolant?

Toyota provides coolant in 2400 so i bought Guard coolant in 200...I can change it 12 times in price of toyota coolant. Shame on Toyota dealers. They are looters..

No experience with guard so can't comment on it, although I dont like these products, they are more like a colored water than proper coolant with higher boiling point. ZIC is a name with good reputation & it is also doing good in my vitz.

I have flushed my vitz radiator at home by tap water along with the coolant bottle and poured caltex coolant.
Every thing is good no issues so far.

Before this there was only plain water in radiator and very negligible rust & no water reduction. Now it is very neat & clean.

Car is 210k+ km driven still everything is in factory condition no alternations. Good as new.
Just regular maintenance & these Cars last very long.

What's price of ZIC..I can change Guard, if you think its harmful or doesn't work..

I think ZIC is many times better than guard one. ZIC costed me 350 pkr for 1 litre and you need 4 litres for your vitz & zic comes with pre-dilution i.e. you don't need to mix any water, just fill in with coolant.
