Toyota vitz or honda city

Aoa i have 14 to 16 lakhs to buy a car. There are two options i am considering toyota vitz 2014 or honda city brand new. Which do you think would be a better option considering driving comfort, fuel efficiency , suspensions and pick and resale after 3 years.

Toyota vitz is a nice car but I find it a but overpriced. I think city will be a more practical choice and the fact that it will be new and trouble free for atleast 3-5 years.

But you'll be getting a manual variant in this much, as manual city is 15,50 lacs and prosmatec is 16,89lacs

Ooh and yes the most important thing the point of concern is the high own of around 1-1.5lacs or a wait of 5-7 months

Go for vitz if you dont need trunk space of sedan.
Consider the Resale same for both car. In Driving comfort & fuel efficiency wise vitz is a step ahead from city.
But with sluggish pick due to CVT.

Honda City on Road price for Manual 1.3L for filer is 16.43K and for non filer is 16.98K
but for Vitz 2014/2015 Fresh Import Genuine Milage Grade 4 and less than 40,000 KM (silver/white/pearl color recomended for good resale) will cost you following:
new spider shape; 1550K - 1600K
Registration: 50K
Tyres change: 20K
Engine/CVT Oil/Filters Change/Throttle: 15K-20K
DVD Player: 10K if not installed already

that means new shape Vitz will cost you between 1635K - 1685K
whereas old shape will be around 1 -.1.5 lakhs less than new shape.

Driving and comfort wise, suspension (Vitz is much better than City 1.3 Manual however City have more pick/power being 1.3L.
Fuel economy is almost same.
Ground Clearance wise City is slightly better than Vitz (although City still not ideal)
maintenance cost almost same if u live in any major city.
Resale wise City is better than Vitz although VItz resale is best among all Japanese cars. but that is the case if Vitz cost between 14-15 Lakh, IMO Vitz at 16+ Lakh is overpriced.

Conclusion: If preference is automatic then go for Vitz and if you are okay with manual, go for City.

1stly you should consider your requirements.
1.3L is always better than 1L.
There will be not much difference in comfort level of both.
if you are long rout traveler then surely go for 1.3L otherwise 1L is good.

With my point of view Honda City Brand new is too much better then Toyota Vitz 2014.

You'll get a manual new city in this price. So if you're fine with that, go for city, otherwise Vitz

city only if you want shape...

in all other aspects , its vitz the winner..

just to give you an exmple, i was going to swat at night inn city 2016 1.5 auto, all of a sudden came speed breaker, and i had to apply full breaks, car was fully loaded, car floor not only hit the breaker which it is supped to , but it literally hit all of our a s s e s , as its so cheap material used throughout...we really fealt all the floor pushed up badly and vibrations through our body....

this has happened many times in vitz, first of all, the car stops immediatly, secondly if it hits, i have never felt any thing, except somen ground noise...
