Got me new tires today Bridgestone 175 / 70 R13. Wider, softer, better grip, and low noise, the perfect combo.

I already have 1.5" spacers installed in my car (got them in after plugging in the cng kit), however now i feel my car's springs have softened up, and the car touches the speed breakers. I too am planning to get my springs replaced. Talked to the mechanic today, and according to him stiffer springs are the only option after spacers. They range from Rs.1200 to Rs.1600 according to him. I will try to survey the market myself tomorrow, hopefully with results.

and they are called "springs" with the mechanics aswell. updates about the lengths tomorrow.

@optimum, 175/70r13 is not the perfect match bhae, did u check it some where?? 165/70 maybe is but definetly 175/70 isnt. as this comes in Baleno nd 155/80 in Cultus/Vitz, so i remember checking it out.

btw which ones did u get, how much did they cost??

Last time (2 weeks ago) when i changed everythng, airfilter, oil, oil fileer, spark plugs, etc, the guy asked my to buy a Carborator cleaner, then he spread that in a hole ( i think is throttle body) the one that is covered by box that contain airfilter etc.. And he asked me to press the accelerater, and some dirt came out from the silencer.

Is that all for throttle body ? or i should do other thing to clean it up ? an other mechanic is asking for 800 RS to clean throttle body, i dont know if it is the same procedure or he will open it. Is it needed to do it ? or carborator cleaner is enough and rest is waste of money ?

Here I got an other question :

I went to computerized tunning center in G10, the guy is saying all is perfect in my car, except the Fuel filter, He explained me that when cars come from Japan they empty the petrol tanky, and when it arrive in paksitan they But the dirtiest OIl to just drive the car from ship to Loader. So it choak the Fuil Filter, pump. And it had to be cleaned out, and it is in BOX which is very fragile at the backside of car near seats. And it take 2-3 hours to do this Job. He is asking 1500 RS for this.

Dose anyone know about this ?

As far as I know, the fuel filter is generally replaced instead of cleaned. I changed mine some while ago; costed Rs.1100; but it was one step below genuine. I didn't notice any positive change after changing it; instead due to the inexperience or negligence of the mechanic, one O-ring got broken unknowingly, which had to be replaced as the pump failed to take suction very soon. So, better to keep your car in original condition unless there are some real issue.

I need to replace the rear shocks (Vitz-04). Toyota Sargodha is quotting a price of Rs.3700/- per piece.
Any opinion about where can I get original rear shocks from Islamabad cheaper?

Its been a long time since i advised or posted anything, i have recently moved to Saudi Arabia. I used to have 2003 Vitz in Karachi, having the same love for Vitz i bought 1.5 2010 model here you wont believe what 500cc with 40 hp extra does to this already Good machine

Neway, i need advice, since the car is new. Alot of people are saying, Dont drive above 60+, some are saying, dont rev 3000+ rpm. Some are saying, dont use AC on till 1000kms, some leave your car on idle for like half a day, it'll waste petrol but then it'll be the same as driving 1000km ? Its really impossible to drive without ac in this already too hot country ..

Please tell me do's and dont's for a new car, especially if it has any logic/reason. Waiting for you help

Can I install 195/50/R15 in 2005 Vitz? Is this size is perfect? or should I go for 195/55/R-15. As rim size is 15", so I have to select among the 15 inch tyres. Moreover please guide which company's ryres are best? Dunlop, BridgeStone? or anyother?

Been busy, haven't had a chance to get it done. Spacers are the first choice, however i already have spacers in my car, therefore i am planning on changing the springs.
