the !st pic is normally when i drive car, Showin odo ,
While second one came up, when i pushed the little knob (normally meter reset one) , and theres also 3rd optiion , that shows just ECO in the small lcd...

I believe that little knob used 4 resting metre , is not used 4 changing odo to eco .....
and there;s no button , on gear .....

Ma friend's got terios , n he's havin it on gear ...

Plz Sort me out ,,,,

I have vitz 2007 and i ave no Eco or Odo sign showing , how to make it show it ?

Also I dont have any button the gear for OD option.

Mileage of my vitz is too low , so maybe any option is wrongly choosen.

which midel you have ?

As i read in older post that if you have recent model (2005 and newer) you dont need it change the oil as it is WS and it is valid for 5 lakh KMS

If anyone can confirm

Just to clear confusion of Transmission Oil change.. i have manual of toyota yaris 2007 which clearly says " Only use Toyota ATF type WS only if theres something goes wrong with the oil, otherwise oil change not required.. first inspection(only inspection) due after 150k kilometers) and one thing more theres no dipsstick for oil level you have to check through check nut..

Moreover Toyota Type WS.. its not same as Type - IV or any other oil... only use Type Ws if transmission oil change required..

Manuals are easily availabe over the internet of new vitz model so go through them before any change...

Its been a long time since i advised or posted anything, i have recently moved to Saudi Arabia. I used to have 2003 Vitz in Karachi, having the same love for Vitz i bought 1.5 2010 model here you wont believe what 500cc with 40 hp extra does to this already Good machine

Neway, i need advice, since the car is new. Alot of people are saying, Dont drive above 60+, some are saying, dont rev 3000+ rpm. Some are saying, dont use AC on till 1000kms, some leave your car on idle for like half a day, it'll waste petrol but then it'll be the same as driving 1000km ? Its really impossible to drive without ac in this already too hot country ..

Please tell me do's and dont's for a new car, especially if it has any logic/reason. Waiting for you help

On my vitz 2007 my break suddenly became smooth yesterday, normally break paddle is very hard jsut have to press a little , but suddenly it became very smooth and have to press deeply just like race to stop the car. I was very scared.

Called some freinds and mechanic, they have to check breaks, but most probably it is the Break oil.

Just in case if it is breakoil, can anyone please tell me which break oil is recommended for new model vits (2007) ?

Also if you guys have already experienced this before.

A side note : However today the break is working fine, strange.

1) What is the meaning of "S" gear type. Is it stand for "Second" or "Sport"

Secondly I want to change the tyres. Rim size is 15. Please guide me which tyre size can give me some extra road clearence and whether Dunlop will be good option?

If 14 inches tyre is best option then I can change rims as well.

Please guide.

did you forget to release the e-brake(hand break) yesterday? could it be that you left it half pulled up......

I dont think so as i was driving for about 30 minutes and it happened just sudenly on one of signal stop. Break was workig fine before and i didnt otuched the hand break.

When headbreak are half pulled the paddle break become smooth ? I will check this theory tonight

bohemian how you turned that Eco option on ?

How do you bring ECO because when i push the button it just change the speedometer light to DIm or full

Also dose turning it on effect the milleage ?

aoa first of all congrats on your purchase. in the gears S stands for start it is used when ever your want more acceleration than on D. and B is bost which is used when driving up or down the hill or an incline.
and our other question about the tires sorry i cant answer that cuz i dont know much about it i hope someone will answer it for u

Low cleareance is killing my car whenever there are 2 people sitting on back seats sometim even 1 person the car touch when there are spead breaker, The terhi kar keh nikalo tricks work but some time it is not possible to do because of traffic.

I dont want to distroy the shape of my car. I saw some people adding spring or whatever it is called, the car look so ugly, look like it is raining and you have pullued your shalwar up lolzz

Any other sloution without making the car look ugly ?

Got me new tires today Bridgestone 175 / 70 R13. Wider, softer, better grip, and low noise, the perfect combo.

I already have 1.5" spacers installed in my car (got them in after plugging in the cng kit), however now i feel my car's springs have softened up, and the car touches the speed breakers. I too am planning to get my springs replaced. Talked to the mechanic today, and according to him stiffer springs are the only option after spacers. They range from Rs.1200 to Rs.1600 according to him. I will try to survey the market myself tomorrow, hopefully with results.

and they are called "springs" with the mechanics aswell. updates about the lengths tomorrow.

@optimum, 175/70r13 is not the perfect match bhae, did u check it some where?? 165/70 maybe is but definetly 175/70 isnt. as this comes in Baleno nd 155/80 in Cultus/Vitz, so i remember checking it out.

btw which ones did u get, how much did they cost??

yes my old tires were 155/80, these aren't bad either, actually better than before. any valid explanation on why they are not good, no theories please. these are bridestone, cost me Rs.4000 for a tire.
