Yes, You would need to talk to ur audio shop, If not youll have to find/order one from the scrap yard. It shouldnt be a hard find.

yup i have changed mine but didnt need these pieces as my vitz already had this piece !
either go for chinese dvd player thn u dun need dis piece or buy dis piece its kinda expensive for vitz ! easily available in psh shoba bazar n same sorta place in pindi i guess sultan kho or whteva its known as !

^ Its around 3 to 4k only, and is comonly avalible they are rarely avalible for the 99-04 Vitz. If any one comes around a peice for 99-04, Let me know please.

I bought a 1 L 2010 model unregistered Vitz (22000 km) couple of months back. The tyres looked a bit more worn than 22k otherwise car was in excellent condition. One thing bothered me though, even after change of engine oil, oil filter, air filter and using super/hi-octane in 70:30 ratio and driving gently as I am no more a teenager, I was not able to get it past 9 km/L.
As a last resort I found tyre shop with digital air pressure gauge and checked all my tyres. The pressure ranged from 29 to 34 psi (which I was trying to keep to 34 from the spring/clock type gauges). From the digital meter I put it to 35 psi in all 4 tyres. The car is a little bumpy on broken roads but as I drive mostly on carpeted roads so it was not a big issue. but VOILA now the average since then is more than 12 km/L.

Any comments/suggestions to improve mileage further are welcome

The company recommended is 30 psi front and 32 psi back. That should possibly give the best average.
The 22k mileage shouldn't be taken as the original, as majority of the meters are tempered. But lets just hope its tempered not a whole lot.
Get your spark plugs checked as well, mine were worn out/leaking current so required a change with 25k on odo

i have bought vitz 2006 5 months back and it was 60,000 km run.... i have 2 problems...

1. when my car goes around 30-40 Kmph there is sound of KHAR KHAR..... its not knocking....... its like that engine is missing (one point to mention that i keep my foot low on accelerator while driving for better fuel economy)................. i have changed sparks plug, engine oil, air filter, oil filter but that sound is still there...... is it transmission problem??????... help me out

2. my second problem came in last 5 days..... and is that, when i start my car there is no check light, but when i drive 10-15 m the engine check light blow up...... i faced no problem while driving...... i got the sensor check from computer and an error came "P1589 - ACCELERATOR SENSOR LEARNING VALUE"..... I ALSO GOT IT ERASED FROM SCANNER BUT IT CAME AGAIN AND AGAIN" ... I GOT THROTLE BODY AND MAF SENSOR CLEANED but no faida........ does anybody know about this P1589-ACCELERATOR SENSOR LEARNING VALUE.......... what is it............. plz help me.... thanx a lot

1. i am getting original (bolt on fit) arm rest for yaris/vitz for 4000 Rs.
2. original air press in good condition cost Rs.3000
3. my vitz did not have the tow rod with it, its costing 2500 in the market.

yaar it comes between the front seats, is attached with the seat rails of front seats, infact bolted down to it so no chance of being loose or any thing.. but its just an arm rest, not a console or anything

Dear, check engine light is a SYMPTOM, its not a PROBLEM. Merely erasing the codes will NOT solve it. You have to ask the operator of OBD scanner, as to what is the PROBLEM. If they fail to understand it go to a better workshop with skilled people there.

AOA all, my vitz has done 1lac 17 thousand kms ... 2005 model, now from last few months, it has started decreasing engine oil but only after that oil has been used for 3000km, i get oil changed at 4.5k to 5k KMs.. i use caltex havoline SAE 10W30, is the engine going byebye .. or shld i change my oil viscousity/ type (like synthetic?) or anything ?? any help plzz
