Just as expected!
Bad part is that these guys are probably the best you can get around here! Anyways, I did not want to go back to those guys as they had earlier filled up the wrong atf and I wasn't happy with that either. So I did something slightly risky (tried to take all precautions) and made this make shift sucking device... using an empty bottle, some thicker straws and tape and sucked about half a liter of the atf from the opening of the atf dip stick! Never thought I'd be telling this to anyone! Anyways, now it shows the correct levels when cold and hot! But this is NOT recommended at all! It's better to take it back to them and tell them to drain a little bit of it!
From what I've heard and understand, ATF and engine oils are pretty harmful in the long run if they are put in more than required!
The 40k service they did on my car... in addition to the regular stuff (changing all fluids except power steering fluid), they checked/cleaned the brakes (by taking out all tyres) and fuel filter. Tightened a few nuts and bolts - they were already tight in any case. They had also cleaned the ATF filter, but when I went back for the correct ATF, I also bought a new ATF filter/strainer and got it replaced totally. I'll let u know exactly how much they charged after checking the receipt.
@sqahar
normally atf should be changed after doing 40 to 50k kms. unless there's something wrong with it.
just an idea for everyone... maybe there should be some organized way of storing all this information... cuz most of the stuff gets re-asked. hope i'll be able to make it to the meet! don't know anyone here in isb!
