no bro used all gears,and most interesting i checked so many mechanics, one suggested your gear is almost finished, then i visited another for confiramtion he said no gear is all ok by checking in computer and told engine is bad in short every mechanic sung their own fav song,,,,,,,but no positive achievement.thanks for your suggestion.

This is Asif Ali Gilani from Lahore.
My toyota vitz 2008/2012 was running fine. I got its throttle tuned last week n after that the following problems poped up.
1.. Missing, specially on low speed
2.. The engine switches off while standing idle in the gear(with AC), otherwise its absolutely fine at neutral or parking.
3.. It gives a jerk while start moving both in D and R gears.
4.. There is also a jerk while shifting gear from N to D n back to N but its not repetitive.
5.. Sometimes the speed cannot exceed 60, 70 and the missing starts if i accelerate.

Gearbox repair was done during August last year and from then it was running absolutely fine.
Expert guidance is requested please.

just reset the car. take off -ve terminal of the battery and re connect it after 5 minutes.

use the car for 1 day. all sensors will read new values by themselves. it will be fine IA.

Guys i faced a weird issue in my vitz. the car is driving normaly, same fuel average, same throttle response, no missing or strange noises from engine.
Despite all this, the check engine light is up and my eco light has stopped working. btw the car is 65k driven and never went through any repair.

get it checked through OBD 2 scanner and u will get to know the fault code.

Hi senior Pakwheeler!

Hope you’d be fine. I have a quick question. I just made a deal for 2014 unregistered Vitz (New shape). Auction report verifiable. Everything is fine except that it’s travelled 81,000 in Japan.
The question is: how long should I expect it’s engine to operate flawlessly as some perks have said Vitz engine starts producing sound after 110k mileage.
Need your precious advice. Thanks.

if its actual 80K driven clean ride than there is no issue. Toyota engines dont go away at 300K KMs even if maintained properly.

Asalam u Alikum

I am currently at Rawalpindi with 2013 import 2016 black Vitz.
AC is working fine and i have changed the cabin filter as well. Cooling is good but not freezing cold.

Issues / confusions are:-

1. When i turn off the AC some strange smell comes this only happens when i turn AC on and then power if off.

2. My car blows hot air when engine and body are hot. No difference found while taking air from inside or outside (moved center dial on left and right).

Kindly share your experience and expert opinion is required as well. Is their any solution to above issues?

Do the following,

1- Check condensate drain as it may be fully or partially clogged.
2- If found clogged, get it cleaned / unclogged and next use ac cleaner / deodorant.

its the same and a normal scenario with all cars.

The outside air selection pulls air from outside and reaches you after passing through evaporator.

If you switch off compressor, select out side air, it depends on the ambient temperature how cool the entering air will be. But while doing this( only using fan), the selection of cooling knob should be at max coooling( even if compressor is switched off.

Note that the outside air enters through the grills adjacent to the windshield bottom area. Hence, due to engine heat desipation in this area, the outside air gains some temperature before it reaches you.

My suggestion to you is as follows:

1- Replace refrigerant accoumulator/ filter

2- Check for leakages

3- Maintain proper refrigerant.

All above from a good ac repair workshop.

and have visited him for filter. Filter costed me for 1500 rupees
