I have got it fixed, apparently one of the injector cable was loose which they fixed and car is fine uptil now.

My issue is still not resolved. It has driven me nuts. Got the temperature switch / valve changed, cleaned the carburetor grill. Don't know what to do next as the mechanic has suggested to get the wiring checked now.

That darned "COOL" temp light keeps popping up on random times and the car jerks a bit every time the light comes up or goes out

my car has problems of not picking up speed and high acceleration. i have replaced furel pump to clear fuel supply but the problem is still there . pls suggest good mechanic.

I just bought 2017 vitz and its very responsive and good vehicle. However, I have observed some chir chir sounds in the morning which goes away after few km driving e. It also reappears when I drive car in evening but goes away later on - what could be the possible cause
Similarly I've noticed yesterday that at low speed, I feel slight jerks like you feel in eco idle cars. Please suggest what would be possible cause of these issues. Is it normal or I should get it inspected?

get better fuel brother and regarding sound, its probably because of some plastic part which settles once you start driving.

Today I noticed that my oil dip stick shows oil level at the first dot is it ok ?
I drive 3rd gen vitz and poured total quartz 9000 5w30 and have driven 3k km
Moreover just recently I noticed increase in vibration while idling and fuel avg has dropped to 11km from 13.5 I use Pso hi octane euro 5 and tuneup had been done 8k km ago
Yesterday the car engine went off suddenly while crossing a speed breaker after that it hasn’t halted any way
There is no warning light on the meter however
Please guide should I go to any mechanic or not
Before total quartz I used shell hx7 5w30

It sounds like some belt is making sound and only happen when car is moving, nothing on idle position. It may be related to CVT?
asked it as I was curious if other members have/had faced similar situation.

If its a belt than its not related to CVT.

get it checked over a test drive with a mechanic.

Check if its just with ac or present all the time regardless of ac being on or off ??

Even if AC on or off for initial ~1-2km sound is heard, after that sound disappears.

I had the same problem with ac on..mechanic told that its ac adjuster pulley/bearing problem !!

Oil level should be at upper dot on dip stick.. for car mileage.. try regular petrol from good pump station. Not use euro5 hioctane.
Some pw reported decrease in mileage by using hioctane on normal old car.

Check your catalytic converter... if choked.. then car will not accelarate.

Does it make any difference that if a car having engine oil consumption problem like about driving 1000 to 1200 km in city, it will need around 200ml to keep oil level full also give bluish smoke on idle hard acceleration, so catalytic convertor cleaning make any positive difference in context of engine oil consumption.
I come down from 20w50 (3 drains of not more then 2k km)to 10w40 Castrol presently.
Bring my car to 2 different mechanic claim slightly same opinion that car engine is not that blow so keep it ruining as much as you can with proper look on oil level. Last, what will be your suggestion overhaul or head assembly replacement. Toyota Vitz 2012 model, presently 75k km run.

may be use normal super petrol from Total , i heard Total normal petrol is now euro 5, you may find the difference while driving using their petrol

1. First, rule out the cheapest option: get the car's PCV valve changed. Go to any japanese/used parts market, get a PCV valve for your Vitz (in local language they call it blow vaaal).

Observe smoke and oil consumption. If stopped, you're good to go in cheap price. Do it first!

1. Other reason could be internal engine related, like bad piston rings.

No worries and you can continue to run it like now.. just keep a strict watch on oil level, check after every 1,000KM and top up as needed.

Of course, to completely remove this issue will require engine replacement OR rebuild (if cause is bad piston rings).. but, no need to spend thousands n thousands to stop this issue... or you can, when engine goes complete dead. Who knows when, it might run a really long time just fine.

The same oil reduction issue is with my vitz 2012
I also switched to 10w40 from 5w30 but I don’t face any smoke issue
Last time last I poured total quartz 9000 5w30 after about 2500km the oil level went down I went to shell oil change and they drained the oil which was 2l max
They suggested to go for 10w40 so I did the same
Did I make the right decision?
Moreover yesterday I filled 20 l in my fuel tank with Pso euro 5 hi octane But after the fuel top up the fuel gauge went crazy and stared to fluctuate b/w half and full tank some times it shows three points some times two and sometimes reserve light
I wanted to ask k ye pump Walay ki koi shararat to nh
Please help

If jumping is reqd. then IMO, its better to go in steps, rather than straight jump:

5w-30 ---> 10w-30 (Caltex / Havoline is the best IMO) ---> ZIC Fully Synthetic 10w-40 (Value to money)

In any case, ensure that oil is 100% authentic.
