if you have recently changed battery or plugged/unplugged battery terminals, then it can be calibration issue which can be fixed easily either by yourself with the help of some youtube videos or you can ask some mechanic

Aoa. i have belta 2007 which was working perfect Alhumdulillah. All of a sudden i realized to open the hood and check water level in radiator. the reservoir was empty and radiator was more than half filled (estimated). I flushed all the water (i have been using tap water instead of coolant for a long time) and poured fresh water . The next day i was going to office and after about 8 to 10kms the meter showed engine overheating sign. i stopped let it cool and then went to the mechanic i know near my house. On telling him he refilled water in the dried reservoir and filled a litre or more in reservoir saying that the air pocket might be created inside the reservoir. i drove 15 to 16km and the car started showing heatup sign again. Opened the reservoir cap and the water was boiling inside. I let the engine to come to a certain temperature where i could open the radiator cap and i could see water. I dont understand what is the cause of this overheating. i havent shown to mechanic but i have parked my car in porch till weekend because im just afraid that if it is weak gasket (althought the radiator water never got empty) the water can be sucked by the piston and it could destroy the engine. My worst fear is a weak gasket. kindly let me know if anyone expert can help me finding the solution. Thankyou

I have vitz 2005 push start, it's trunk lock is not working, the button of keyless lock on trunk is working and when I push it the car does lock but I am unable to open the trunk. Does anybody have idea where can I get it fixed/replaced?

I have recently bought 2010 vitz 1300cc converted everything is running fine and smooth since 3 weeks but yesterday i got stuck in a trafic due to bad road condition for 30minutes and right after that reached home and at the inclined surface on the entrance my car was not getting acceleration it was moving though but by pushing the pedal it was not picking up acceleration
can anyone guide regarding the issue or what to do

AoA. A friend of mine is kind of in a confused situation. He changed the oil in his car, 08 1.0 vitz which was overhauled a few months back because it started reducing oil. Now, his mechanic has poured in 15w40 caltex delo gold ultra claiming this will help his engine

Now i use that same oil in my diesel cars, the box says diesel engines so I questioned if this was the right oil for his car. The car has clocked around 200000 km's. The overhaul was done around 185000 km. The two previous oil changes after overhaul, he used shell hx5.

Any insights if the delo gold ultra was or is a good oil in a 1krfe?

Welcome your friend as you say he's your friend to the world of desi mechanics... my advise is to change his handle to confused dude everywhere because give him whatever advise you may when he will go to this world he will do what they will say.

Whether he, his driver or whomever got the oil change done doesn't matter. Whatever personal reasons he has or had, I'm not questioning that. He isn't or won't be the first chap to fall victim to our desi mechanics. I'm sure he will learn from this.

I simply asked about the oil and I'd appreciate an answer along those lines. I've always stuck with HX7 in my vitz ( an oil that's suited me and never given me any problems ) and delo gold ultra in my diesel merc, hilux and prado. So hearing someone using that oil in a 1krfe was strange and I asked about it since I didn't find any info on the net and wasn't too sure about it myself.

So, again, the question still remains unanswered

Ok mine is 2006 I use 10/40w of total and if I get it changed from dealership I use 20/50w with 20/50w pick is compromised and so the average but it runs smooth....engine overhauling here is not advisable...This is what I do....

Well, he had issues with the car so I guess they did the overhaul. I wasn't aware of what happened in the past. Delo gold ultra is a mineral oil and that's what I wanted to know. Chevron states the 15W-40 is great for diesel engines but it's also useable in gasoline engines.

The dealership 20/50 is a mineral oil? I've never used it so not sure. Delo gold on the other hand is a brilliant oil and if it does not raise any flags, I can inform him to continue using it. Else I'd advise him to change but I just wanted an opinion from other members. Hope that makes sense
