yeah idle vibration is know issue for 1KR-FE. It can be minimized with few tweaks but not possible to fix it totally.

AoA guys,
There is ABS traction control light on and not turning off by the button. I realized it happened due to battery replacement. I scanned it and turnned out to be c1433 error, on google it says "steering angle sensor" but in the scanner " its "ABS control unit #2". However, the code is not clearing up (or may be my scanner is not good enough to clear the codes)... On youtube, they say you have to reprogram the sensor or replace...
Is there any way to solve this problem or just clear the code?
BTW the car is behaving normally

If the DTC is leaning toward circuit malfunction or the communication malfunction them you have to replace the steering angle sensor completely.
Swapping the battery in new vitz after 2015 has be done by jumping or providing nah outer power source.
When the battery was replaced if the steerimg was tilted then steering angle sensor is damaged

After being scammed in my first two( Charade 87, Gli 09) now I am aiming towards buying vitz, I have a max budget of 3.8 millions. I did alot of research aout vitz. Please give me some suggestions, pain points about this car. What is the average? I think I might get a clear 2017 vitz. Am i right? Or i will need to spend more. I will be doing Pakwheels inspection(must). Can somebody suggest me any professional car expert in Pindi ISB which can inspect car for me( additional Check to satisfy myself)

I own a Vitz and it’s a good car (but low ground clearance).

However major issue is parts. They’re not available or you have to search really really hard in scrapyards to find parts if anything goes wrong.. like a broken bumper, side mirror, lights, etc.

Issue with almost all imported cars.

For peace of mind choose a local car like the new model Swift CVT.

Nah 2017 it's better to opt for 2010-2014 vitz same features but with improved power and economy plus the parts are flooded in the market.
And are compared low price as compared to 2017 .
You can find a nice car in a budget of under 3 million and then if found a good car spend on its utilities like suspension, tyres, interior etc

2010-14 would mostly not be in clean condition and its 1kr engine has an inherent flaw of burning oil. It burns oil no matter what you do after a certain no. of KMs.

It was only fixed in after 2014 models they don’t have any oil burning issue so if one is going for Vitz in 2024 it should at least be a 2015 model.

I heard about 1NRFE burn oil after few thousand kilometres. I have Vitz 2012 1KRFE it does not burn oil at all little vibrations is an issue but not this one.

W.Salam F is the base variant. Top of the line varient got push start, chrome handles, smart key etc. Price depends on various factors e.g Grade, mileage, condition both inside and outside. Few weeks back I saw a Vitz 2018/2021 and the guy was asking for 34-35.

Pre 2014 models it usually starts after 80k-100k kms.

Raja bhai I’m sure you do a great job in rebuilding the engine that’s why it doesn’t burn anymore

But I haven’t come across a single pre 2014 Vitz that does not burn some oil and even Toyota says it’s normal..

But haven’t seen a single post 2014 model with improved engine (spider shape and later) that burns oil. So I’m sure they made some improvements in it.

Yes improvements are done in it.
Like under piston oil squirters.
More oil ring holes in piston so old oil can escape freely. But in that engine only 0w20 should be used more viscosity in that engine means premature failure.

Two quick questions for Vitz 2015

1. Best oil brand of 0w20 that works well to reduce the engine noise (if any). Otherwise any recommendations

2. Need to change plugs, running a temporary set pulled from a Corolla. Which ones to get? OEM and anything better

I have a 2015 model Toyota Vitz. I changed the transmission fluid at 64,000 KM, and now the mileage is 109,000 KM. Recently, I have started experiencing an issue with the gear. When I shift to "R" (Reverse), the car moves backward but then stops abruptly with a loud noise. If I accelerate more, the car moves very slowly in reverse. However, the car runs perfectly fine in "D" (Drive); only the reverse gear is causing trouble.

This issue also happened a week ago. I took it to a mechanic, and he said the gear would need to be replaced. But then, the problem disappeared on its own. The mechanic checked the shifter and everything, but there was no fault. Now, after a week, the issue has started again.

Immediately check for cvtf oil level the problem you are facing is caused by low cvt oil levels.
