Toyota Yaris 1.5 ATIV X 2022 - Speed linked Door lock?

Hello Everyone,

I recently bought 2022 1.5 ATIV X Yaris Sedan in Lahore. I have a question regarding its feature which auto-locks the door when speed reaches 20 KM, i followed the steps as mentioned in User Manual on Page 131 - but I am unable to get the speed linked door locking function enabled. Has anyone tried it successfully? can you please guide? attaching the page from the user manual for reference.:

I try the same but nothing happened? Needs Input from other members it it really works

if this doesn't work then def it could be activated via scanner. i didnt try it though its written + you may find opions which are factory activated by default in next page too...if i recall i read that too

there must be detail body control module options to activate deactivate it.

there a OBD dongle available which could be used to activate these features..that dongle need to be connected all the time though...

its on ali express...

Activated via scanner would mean just turn it On from Off status. It may not be this simple and may instead require Programming the ECU. The "OBD Plug In Speed Lock Tool" probably is the replacement of this ECU programming. So it may not be simple Turn Off to Turn On feature.

if feature is there..it will simply show up there when you connect scanner to be activated. if not.. it won't show up to get activated. there maybe separate small controller for this feature which maybe lacking in PKDM models just as many USDM models

Yes this may be the reason and someone also reported on FB that he purchased the OBD Plug and Play Tool but it did not work.

thanks for your replies guys. The only OBD software i ever used was CARISTA which worked perfectly with Prius and imported Honda models. Unfortunately, Carista does not recognize this model. Can you please advise which other OBD software is used for such tasks? Toyota techstream? Launch Pro ?

Techstream is good for Toyota and also easily available. Unfortunately Yaris do not have much customizable features; No Auto Speed Door Locks, No TPMS etc. But yes Techstream is good for scanning errors and clearing codes. Launch Pro tou owesome hoga but very very expensive and not value for money UNLESS you need it for professional use
