Dude, why don't you understand that these are economical cars, these can't be modified that much other than minor cosmetic changes, there engines are to give economy and there purpose is to go to point A to point B with fuel saving techniques, don't fiddle the factory fitted stuff specially with these types of engine modifications, you will ruin your brand new car and will end up on wasting money to get it back to.original or might not get it like factory fitted stuff ...

Are you saying that Yaris doesn't suddenly accelerate just like other CVT equipped cars?
Or are you saying that Yaris doesn't have good acceleration unlike other CVT equipped cars and cars with CVT are supposed to have quick acceleration?

what about cutting down the whole firewall....the JZ would definitely protrude into the passenger compartment...I hope it wont ruin the comfort for the OP..

I exactly wouldn't call it underpowered but I meant was that CVT cars are usually free reving and RPM responds instantly when pedal is even slightly pushed but in the case of yaris the car doesnt responds on gentle throttle. The throttle needs to be pushed more to get the power and than the car is fine.

I hope this clears what I am actually trying to say.

However, I disagree with the notion that cars with CVT transmission are responsive. CVT transmission is known to be sluggish and people coming from manual or traditional auto transmissions dislike/ hate rubber band effect of CVT transmission and find them unresponsive.

Rubberband effect is completely something else. It has nothing to do with responsiveness. The rubberbanding happens when the rpms don’t move under acceleration as it does in traditional automating or manual due to shifting.

That's how manufacturers tuned the ecu. Actually that's how all economical cars are tuned.

OP just wants a 1 sec faster car from 0-100. His current car does that in10.5 secs he wants to do it in 9.5.
