Generally Steel wheels are Heavier and can absorb minor wobbles of tyres. .
Thus wobbling issue is mostly with Ativ cars ,since they have alloys which needs very precicesly built tyres.
So i think only ative coustomers will get Bridgestone tyres

Its a manufacturing fault that some other people have pointed out as well. Steering wheels in my Yaris is a bit tilted towards left even when the tyres are dead straight. Its not a serious fault and can easily be manually adjusted. When you are taking the delivery just see that the steering and the wheels are properly aligned. If they are not - point it out to them and then can fix it in a few minutes.

You can always park your car and change the tire at stop/rest area if not in the middle of the motorway their are several stops/rest areas, petrol pumps where you can easily park your car and do it.

Anyways yes if indus motors has found general tires being faulty they should recall all cars and change tires. But for now this is being done in Ativ X models only.

1.3 ativ is I guess still getting general tires for now.

Agreed.

To this extent the user seems unjustified for thinking to change the tire in middle of the road. But his point of getting a bulged tire after driving a new car for only 3000 km, is correct.

This bulged tire could have burst on the highway. Top it up with a high center of gravity problem of Yaris. Extremely dangerous from the safety viewpoint.

After all, it is General Tires company who has to replace the faulty tires. Indus shouldn't be having any troubles with that.

I read somewhere, not sure though, that indus is providing imported tyres because general tyre was not able to provide them the requisite quantity.

The reason they are providing imported tyres in two if there top variants is quantity not quality.

so thats why the dealer was saying yaris is dangerous beyond 110. it has faulty tires...? add to that the height and it goes upside down very quickly.

Assemblers/Manufacturers usually keep 2 suppliers in case one is out of stock. In 2010/2011 Toyota Corolla came with WANLI tires for a limited time because of fire at general Tires.

Yes something similar was done in 2010/2011 Corollas aswell.

Only way to find stability performance is by doing a moose test.

Nobody ever in the history of Pakistan has ever done one. Not Civic. Not Corolla.

jokes aside, 3k nahi pama figures say 7k+, still roads pr nahi ha itni. scndly i got an honest review from a fellow who went to kashmir side on his new yaris. he says this extra height really helps in bad road conditions of northern areas. so looks like this height issue will not be resolved in upcoming facelift of yaris.
