How deep is the scratch. If your nail can get into it then normal compound wont help.

Hey Guys!

I am Kamran and I own Toyota Yaris Ativ X 1.5 CVT Variant. I booked my car on 5th January, 2021, and got it delivered on 4th Feburary, 2021 through my resource inside the Company. It's the third month which is completing on 4th May and I have driven it around 10800 KMS which is too much as compared to my earlier vehicles. I have traveled to Khunjerab National Park on this Car (with two occupants) through the longer route which includes a lot of off-roading as well (lower kohistan, dassu, diamer etc). I have done the following mods on the car:

a. Upgradation of Horn (Denso) from Toyota Airport Motors cost 5K
b. Installation of Cruise Control from Toyota Airport Motors cost 9K
c. Installation of Retractable Mirrors from Autokings cost 12K
d. Installation of Mudflaps from Toyota Airport Motors cost 2K without paint

The future add-ons that I want to do are:

a. Installation of LED Bulbs
b. Installation of Head Unit (possibly Pioneer one)
c. Replacement of tyres or whole wheels (Confused about size)
d. Body Kit

I am pouring LMs' 5W30 in it and planning to get at least 8K on the ODO each cycle. So far I am satisfied with this Car!!!

Could you share more details on the cruise control from toyota airport? I asked toyota walton and they refused saying we will not do it. and if you get it done from somewhere the warranty will be void.

I have used polishing compound yesterday almost 60 percent of the scratch was cured. Will try today for remaining 40. Let's see

I did visit walton motors as well and the supervisor told me the same story for cruise control which at that time they stopped (now i dont know if they are doing it or not). Worth mentioning that they were doing the installation for retractable which requires cutting / splicing of wires.

But in cruise control there’s no any alteration and they just plug one wire in ecu as I remember.

Cruise control’s installation is more safer than retractable in my opinion. So ignore walton’s narrative.

Look bro, it doesnt include any splicing of wire so definitely it will not affect the warranty even if you get it installed by some roadside electrician. Obviously, airport motors didn’t mention on their invoice that warranty is intact after our installation

Before getting it on my car, I checked with market as well. The only reason I got it installed from here is the quality of cruise stick and obviously it has very less scratches although it’s not new as well. Plus, at that time it was hard to find cruise stick cover, so to me it looks really stupid to have stick without the cover.

Btw, installation of horn and retractable definitely includes splicing, cutting etc. So it is meant to void. Lets hope for the best

Precisely the reason why i stopped myself from getting the horn otherwise the single horn that the car comes with is a let down.
