The big plus with Toyota is that one wouldnt need to spend upfront if an accidents happens. Toyota has a cashless transaction mechanism valid across all dealerships in Pakistan. The downside is that Toyota would benefit more as in convential insurance I can choose my own repair shop consequently cheaper repairs and lesser out of pocket expense after 1st year.
In a regular insurance model, you incur the expense and then you get reimbursed after some time if claim is approved.
I have worked with almost all major insurance companies including Adamjee, EFU and Jubilee... as I served as head of Insurance Operations for a giant Multinational for almost a decade. Now retired
To be honest, we had lot of leverage being corporate clients with premiums ranging in hundreds of million rupees... don't know how they deal with individuals.
Atlas & Toyota both offer prepaid/cashless insurance claims... thats a big plus... IMHO. Getting claims processed is a hassle no matter how smooth it is.
Toyota is offering at 2.1%.
Will talk to Abid Sb as well in due time ro see what are the benefits that Adamjee puts on table
There is still time.... delivery July.
