You can check the exact registration cost thru Pak Wheels on the road calculator. Some dealerships charge way above the actual registration cost. Just make sure you are not taken for a ride. I don't know about Punjab - but in Islamabad the registration process was super easy. Everything was done within an hour and a half without any rishwat or sifarish. The plates too were handed over there and then.

Registration cost for Attiv X cvt is 69790/- in punjab.
You should go yourself. Just book appointment from excise website and go there on time. Get the form F and file flyer from outside for 50/- rs. and go inside, get token from front counter, go to the new registration counter on your turn, pay him cash and get the receipt. Thats it. Number plates are delayed, so you can get your own from the market for 300-1000 depending on quality.

I am not sure if your wife has to visit the excise office or not. You can check that by calling their helpline.

There is no balance payment form. I booked from Toyota Sahara Lahore. I just went there with the pay order of balance payment and they gave me receiving on its copy.

Registration is almost same for 1.3 and 1.5 in yaris's case

The main difference of registration of 1.3 and 1.5 comes from the invoice price.
The major component of the registration cost is 2% of invoice.
So if the car prices of two cars in this bracket is 2.5m and 3.0m then the regustration difference will be 10000 rs.

For those who have purchased ATIV X.
Just for peace of mind. In order to counter "relay theft" of smart entry key cars, I have purchased two RF blocker pouches through Daraz from China. It costs me just Rs. 800/-. I have tested these pouches. While key fob is inside pouch, Car doesn't respond on pressing button at door handle. You can keep key fob inside pouch only when you think that relay theft can be the possibility, I mean in shopping mall or resturant parking etc... You can keep key fob outside pouch hanging with chain in your safe areas and hence you can enjoy the benefits of smart entry. It is better to disable second key fob of car. It will preserve its battery too. Disabling in use key fob is not good idea specially in market parking etc. It needs some attention and time. You have to see its small indicator light to blink four times to confirm it. So better to put key fob in pouch and be sure that RF signals will be blocked. Just wanted to share my thoughts.

I have installed paddle shifters over my steering. These are the same as of corolla Grande. The plug was also available within the steering for wire harness of paddle shifters. However, I'm unable to activate them. Might be some wire is to be taken to the ECU from beneath the steering. Now, I'm unable to do anything further.

Hello Everyone,
I have a flexible budget till 3.5 million.
I have short listed some options .
1. Yaris ativ x 1.5 ( brand new )
2. Altis x 1.6 ( brand new )
3. Civic 2017-18 ( used )

City isnt an option as full option is as expensive as used civic

What is the best option?

If you want space. And can do with analog Air conditiong, no smart entry, push start and such small gimmicks. Then Altis 1.6 ECT is the recommended choice for you.

If you want bells and whistles and space isnt ur primary concern then Yaris 1.5 ativ X is the way to go.

I am sorry i am against buying second hand cars when spending so much hence i wouldnt consider civic. Otherwise civic is the best deal when it comes to driving pleasure in Pakistan.

I'd say u should go for altis if you need space otherwise yaris. Civic i won't recommend as its used and I am just against used cars.

Altis 1.6 all the way.

Yaris is decent, but too small and not as tough built as a Corolla/Altis.

Saw a broken down Yaris as it reached Hunza. The KKH ruined it. As well as City, its suspension was making tons of noises, the kkh had ruined it.

While Corollas easily rule that pathetic road specially dassu besham section.. drive it as rough as possible and not even single mechanical component will break down.

Corolla any day over Yaris.

I need advice frm my fellow members regarding a comparison which is Shud i buy a Brand new 1.3 Ativ CVt or 2018 Genuine Aqua S Low mileage btwn 10~20k kms with original auction sheet if both have the same price??

Tough call.

If from lahore and karachi and you have a daily within city commute then Aqua provided you can work without a boot.

If you need a boot. Would need to travel on long distances, need to have hassle free maintenance with the availability of spare parts......then Yaris.
