Aqua good grade fresh import is 32-33 as of now so initial investment will nullify the benefit of mileage difference for next 3-4 years. Also aqua's back seats are cramped even as compared to Yaris as well.

If fuel economy is the highest priority then Aqua.

But Yaris itself is quite fuel efficient. Has more room n space than Aqua.

Will not hit speed breakers. Has local parts support.

So, Yaris has more points. Ideally you should go for a Corolla but if you can't raise the budget then Yaris gets more points.

Only in fuel economy Aqua wins, but again Yaris too is economical.

If you don't have a space requirement like a big family for example, I suggest Yaris ATIV X. Altis 1.6 X is a great car and a trusted workhorse that has proven itself in the past many years but its towards the end of its lifecycle. If you book now, you will get delivery in November/December and only after few months of that, 12 Generation will be launched. I wouldn't like to spend 3.5 Million and have the outdated generation few months after getting delivery. If you get Yaris, you get good features (Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, Climate Control, CVT) and you can sell it in 1 year and go for 12 Gen Altis 1.6 if you like which will come with CVT and more safety features than current Altis.

Civic is a great car and a pleasure to drive, but ask yourself if you are okay with getting a used car after spending 3.5 Million? If you are okay, then a clean Civic would also be a good option. I would again not be okay getting a used car after spending this much but its a personal preference.

Altis 1.6 Auto if booked today will be delivered in January/February 2022. One of my colleague got January 2022 delivery some 15 days back.

That should not be a reason because if Altis 1.6 meets your requirements, then waiting 6 months should be less of an issue than not getting the right car for your needs. If Altis 1.6 meets your needs, go for it.

That's a fair point. If the car meets your needs and you can wait, then you should. Do keep in mind though that 12 Generation will probably launch next year so that should also be a factor in your decision making

I understand you got Yaris but Altis is much more superior and worth waiting if someone can.

That's why I used the word "probably" - it doesn't take any genius to speculate that Corolla 12 Gen is around the corner, most probably sometime in 2022. It's not a "false info", its a speculation based on product lifecycles and previous trends.

Also, Altis being superior is an opinion and not a fact. Every option has its pro's and con's. A 7 month wait is a big minus in Altis favor and 1 month delivery is a big plus in Yaris favour just like the space and bigger platform are plusses in Altis favor. At the end the car that works for YOU is superior - that may be Yaris, that may be Altis or that may even be used Civic

I'm successful in activating paddle shifters in 1.3 Ativ cvt. They are working flawlessly, Alhamdulillah. .
I searched whole shoba for Grande's steering, but they were too much expensive. However, in Chah sultan Rwp, I found a steering with a price diff of 10000 with my steering. I retained my own steering and just used the back of that Grande's steering.
No wire was peeled. Just added 2 wires pin to pin grip.the wires were added from steering to gear.

Alhamdulillah, done with the project.
If anyone is from Rwp, Isb,, i can help him over any of the weekend.

I think anyone commenting or saying that 12th gen is not being launched in 2022 is misleading himself. I think last year (dont remember exactly) we even saw a prototype on the motorway (it was shared on these forums as well).

2022 is the year for 12th gen launch in Pakistan. Period
The only way it would be or could be delayed is the left over stock of the current gen which toyota would like to decrease (engine and parts).
They cannot delay it further as the product life cycle has already been delayed quite a bit.

I think the suggestions given are pretty valid both ways. If our dear brother can wait and really wants space and ROLLA reliability then he should go for altis 1.6 hands down. Keeping in mind the 12th gen is right around the corner and the impact on resale value.

If space is not an issue, features make u happy and you want toyota reliability then Yaris is readily available. Which you can sell later on in place of 12th gen 1.6 version.

In the end of the day its ur choice and ur decision Sir.

My argument against is the recent trend of bringing older generation to Pakistan due to lower cost of setting up a production line with used components from countries where the model is outgoing. Not 100% sure but there is a very high chance that this will happen to Corolla and Civic as well.

Getting a brand new model seems to increase cost as we saw with the new 6th gen City, and this might push the prices of new Corolla/Civic into SUV territory, which will further decrease their dwindling sales due to competition with the new SUV market.

The 12th generation corolla is already into its 3rd year (hatchback unveiled in March 2018, sedan in November 2018), so we might be 2 years away from getting it. Probably in 2023 mid to end.

Thanks fr the replies fellows, already own a Corolla Gli 2016 bt itz too big fr me to use in local driving, my daily drive is around 50~60kms and that too in Crowdy n sometimes Katcha Pakka route so Gli is nt feasible fr that, i guess Yaris 1.3 cn also do my job well and fr Long i use Corolla though itz highly underpowered Vehicle, bt i'll replace it wid a 12gen in future

I asked the dealership about the new corolla (last month) ... they said that it's expected by Mid of 2022. (Toyota SKT) but its linked to Civic launch;.. they said kay Corolla ...Civic launch say 2 month pehlay launch hogi aur 1 month delivery hogi just like yaris... (I am impressed by their strategy)..

Ab yeh sari bakwaas thi ya koi haqeeqat hai is main ... I have no way to verify but it all seems pretty logical and a sound business strategy..

Considered purchasing a used Grande or Civic but decided against it ...due to very high asking prices for clean cars... I ended up booking ATIV X 1.5 CVT

Your opinion is justified to some extent. The case in point of Honda City or for that matter Suzuki Mehran can be quoted.

But Toyota Indus has generally followed suit internationally. Especially since this 11th Gen. The facelift was introduced just after a little delay from the international version. Same goes for civic 10th gen.

Lets take Toyota Yaris. This is the prefacelift version introduced which is still being used in Brazil and a couple of Asean countries under the Vios or Yaris badge.

None the less your fears(opinion) is also justified. Yet the probability that Indus can delay it further will only make matters worse for them. By 2022 end they will for surely introduce the 12th gen unless they are unable to sell the closing stock of 11th gen.

Honda is euro 4; why doesn't toyota mention emission standards in their specifications
