Yes these are also important points to consider. While CVTs are reliable in general, if something goes wrong, they are very costly. Second, outside of Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, specially in rural areas, manuals are preferred, mainly because they are mechanical and robust, and also if something happens, the costs are significantly less than CVTs.
So do consider your use outside the city as well, consider manual specially if you take the car to rural areas often, specially where roads do not go. If you take it to rural areas where there are roads there CVT should be good. And many rural areas now have reasonable roads.
Current Toyota CVT is a very rugged and reliable transmission. Nothing can match the mechanical simplicity of a manual so it will always be more reliable than any automation, be it AGS, Automatic or CVT, but my point is CVTs have also been through many iterations now and are mostly considered very reliable.
I disagree here, because this is a HUGE convenience in city traffic. Manuals are enjoyable only for a few days when the car is new, after a few days/weeks, the grind of driving manual in rush hours become tiresome and painful. But this argument is in the zone of personal preference, so consider what you prefer as a driver.
