Hi everyone!

I just received my 1.5 CVT Ativ X. Had a question about cruise control installation. I am from Lahore and I called Toyota Airport (after reading from here). They said they will install the cruise control in 30-40 minutes max and it will not void the warranty.

However when I took the delivery from Toyota Township they said not to go for cruise control as it is not safe etc (no mention about warranty getting void).

I travel a lot on the motorway so cruise control is a necessity for me. Could you all help me with this? thanks!

It is absolutely safe if you do it properly.
As for the warranty dealerships say it will not void to make some money off of you, If there is any issue and details are sent to Indus, Indus will not accept warranty claim as even if it plug and play no wiring cutting etc but it is still a modification.

If you do the proper wiring with proper pins there should be no issue, Hide the wires in the existing harnesses, use heat shrink tubes and single color wire no one will be able to know that new wires were added and you can remove the stick anytime you need.

why will toyota indus allow you to install after-market, yet dealerships are installing? is tarah aap dusron ka bhi nuqsan krogy jo dealerships se lagwa rhy. imo this a feature which they will upgrade in facelift version. agr sb kuch is variant me de diya to bad me kya upgrade krengy?

I installed cruise stick in my ATIV X 2 months ago. Working fine and yes we really need it on motorway. I got it installed from local electrician.

Last month AC condensor leak ho gya gari ka jo k warrenty mai replace kya Toyota dealership ne. Even they found k after market cruise control stick and side mirros retractable hain.

My Yaris is July delivery, haven’t heard anything yet from Indus, website just shows order in process and they didn’t reply to email. Dealership says they have no idea when it will deliver. With next week being Eid, what should I expect?

I just came back from Naran and since then i am hearing a constant low pitch whistle when i am driving my car. The noise suddenly stops when the car comes to a standstill, but as soon as i slightly press the accelerator the noise resumes. My car is Yaris Ativ 1.3 CVT (Mileage Almost 8000KM). I have the video but i am unable to attach the file here.

This is concerning.

Why yaris seems to be having issues on bad roads. Corolla was the king of bad roads you could drive it anywhere n whatever way you want, it wouldn't break down.
