There is a hissing sound coming from my car when accelerator is pressed at low speeds. I remember somebody else also had this issue in their Yaris.

If that brother is reading this. Can you please tell me what was the update and did the issue get fixed?

Guys I have booked Yaris ATIV X from Toyota GT Motors Isd. Delivery is likely in September. Hoping for a good experience. Am also thinking to install body kits to improve the looks. Any other suggestion to install accessories will be more than welcome.

Mine is 9000KM driven and usually i fill my tank before its empty so i get around driving range in city around 400KM and around 33-34L Petrol is refueled, that makes around 11-11.5 average in city which is quite reasonable because i also do a lot of idling with AC on. Secondly my speedometer is currently showing 13.5Km/L because of combined city + higjway, i usually get around 15.5-16 if set the cruise at 110-115 and around 14-14-5 when i set at 120-125(with 4 adults and loaded trunk). Initially i was also getting around 9.8-10.4 in city but after the first oil change it kept improving.

Yes i was also experiencing a similar issue but it was a continuous whistle sound whenever i was accelerating even at high speed. Still the issue is not resolved and even today i was at Toyota Cantt Motors and i had an appointment with an engineer sent by Indus Motors, he took around 2 hours and inspected the car and then he told me to take the car and he will update me on Monday regarding if my car was eligible for a warranty claim or not because as per his observation some external factor has caused a problem in the belt or the pulley and i had a long argument with him regarding this. Anyways i think the hissing sound you are talking about is coming from your AC(i think so bcs the sound is only coming at low speeds) You should get it checked ASAP because if you delay it then Indus will put the blame on you that it is your fault that you didn’t get it checked. I am really unhappy with the After Sales Service of Toyota Indus because it has been years my family has been buying Toyota Cars and this was the first time i have faced any issue and needed to claim warranty but they are just so stubborn that they don’t even listen to your argument. It has been almost 3 weeks since this has happened and still i am not sure if they will resolve the issue in warranty or will i have to pay for it. I had emailed Customer Relations of IMC and after that the issue is moving forward and if i hadn’t emailed them they would have delayed it even further. Also update me after getting your vehicle checked.

40-45K max. If u want noiseless drive change very 25k kms per ab mehngay buhat hain

Yes so option 1 is to sell stock tyres new for around 22 thousand rupees and get better tyres to last 40-45K or use stock tyres till 20K and then change to new tyres.

Get tyres changed ans your whole experience will change. General is the shittiest brand available unfortunately

I personally don't have Yaris but sister has it. Tyres were changed after 2 days of buying car.

salam, my brother also recently took possession of Yaris (not even a week), I came to this thread to see comments, a bit disappointing to learn that it has bad tyres

what tyre brand should I recommend to my brother?

also what accessories do you recommend ? I told him to get mudflaps, another relative told him to get seat covers(it has fabric seats, synthetic leather ones were recommended because they are easier to clean).

That plus tyres, I think it will suffice for now, but any advice welcome.

also, what has your process been for registering Yaris in Islamabad? What did it cost and how long does it take....

also if you have taken insurance, how much and which company?

All tyres are better than Euros offered by Indus. GT radial or Nankang if you are driving mostly in city otherwise Any japnese tyre would be great like dunlop japan, yokohama etc

Nexen is a great tire. Korean.

Has official presence in Pakistan with authorized dealers. Reliable.

No need to go for no name chinese or even big name unofficial tires where you can't guarantee genuine-ness.

Only get synthetic leather if you have bacha party at home. The leatherite is gonna save your seats numoerus times from accidental spills. Mudflaps are absolutely necessary as I have seen Yaris without mudflaps which have both backdoors filled with mud. I would change the tyres too if they only drive till 20k km properly.

I think air press add a lot of looks to Yaris so definitely recommended. Mud flaps are must.

1- thank you for all the tyre recommendations, will forward to my brother, he travels frequently on motorway and i want him to have safe and long lasting tyres

2- Yes, my brother has small children , so car seats/mats that help prevent a mess is necessary, any recommendations in that regard are welcome

3- trying to avoid recommending any non essential expenses, the airpress look very nice, but are not that essential, with time he can decorate his car
