Please confirm whether GLI MT has steering lock feature because steering of my new car is not being locked.

GLi cvt has, but it takes effort to get locked, try more and it will be done.

Thanks for reply, I have checked we have to rotate steering more to get it locked but turning it is quite hard when engine is off. It doesn't seem practical to lock steering every time as it's very stiff so it's better to lock steering where it is absolutely necessary.

Yes it takes many degrees of steering input to get locked.

Within initial 5000 KMS this windshield washer joint got clogged from the top side (driver side line) I had it replaced after much argument at the Toyota Service Centre, they kept on delaying the part replacement, at 10k KMS service I pushed them to replace and they replaced it from somewhere (perhaps took out from some new car). With the replacement everything got ok, then at around 15K KMS the same issue has come back in the replaced part. Service centre tried many methods air/water/pin nothing solves the clogging and it is now again clogged from the same side. How many Yaris owners having same issue and what is solution? We cant go on getting replacements for this all the time!!!.

Any suggestions, experiences and workable solutions are welcome. Thanks

1.5 CVT experience is that they have some setting via computer which causes lag in pickup, after 5000 KMS checkup the car pickup has changed and its much more faster in response and pickup.

Alhamdolillah I have got received my Yaris Ativ X yesterday. Little disappointment i feel while noticing that Seat Belt indicator still beep and blinking even after seat belt is applied.

Seat sensor must be disconnected. Take it to dealership they will connect it again.

My car is driven like 8000KM now. But no issues faced till yet. What are you using as windshield washer fluid? Don't use tap water. Either use distilled water or use proper fluid.

Only Allah can make it happen, dua kar ke daikh lein, otherwise "the OEM Multimedia system mein matlooba sahulat muyasar nahi hai", One can try to use the T-link feature (download app from Google Play store or Apple store and use a particular type of connecting cable (not all mobile charging cables allow data exchange) that may allow dongle mirroring, however my experience is that this app is outdated and does not work with all mobile models, secondly it only works if the car is parked, third it is highly unreliable and not stable (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't). The only sane (peace of mind) option is to replace the OEM with a aftermarket system that has the features available. If anyone here in Yaris group has some other tips/guidance then please do share. I use normal water but put in vinegar small bottle to keep the water lines from clogging.

I also sent my complaint to Toyota Indus and my Toyota Service provider who promptly sent me an email and got a call from my Service Centre, the part was replaced today. I was advised to use a small quantity of liquid detergent in the water mixture to prevent future clogging.

Will try that, lets see how long this works. Frankly I use the windshield washer/wiper quite frequently and using distilled water for Windshield Washing seems to an expensive proposition, but seems like a reality. There really has to be a simpler cheaper way to manage this.

Why don’t you use windshield cleaner tablets they are good for longer use. Just keep on refilling water after few days to mix old fluid with new

My booking date is 12th of March 2022, PBO Issuance date is 18th of March 2022, Color is Super White and tentative month of delivery is May 2022.

My Booking Date was 14th March, PBO Date was 14Th March, Tentative month was May & Colour was Grey Graphite…

Still no signs of getting invoiced, the call centre keeps telling me that it will be lined-up soon, which means abhi Tak ya Production me Hai ya Even Queue me Bhi Nahi ayi for production.

Really tired of waiting. Only if I knew this would be the situation, I would have gone for Own Money.

Better to use windshield cleaner tablets and also use distilled water even if expensive the windshield washer joint will thank you. Dont use any detergent. If you must you can use some shampoo mixed in water. There are also washer fluids (sonax and flamingo etc) available in the market. Frankly the sprayer uses very small quantity and 1 litre should serve atleast a year . Have you checked the line (pipes) if any connecting pipe is loose it may be pulling in some dust that is clogging the joint (just a guess)

Don't use vinegar. If the water you are using has dissolved ions in it(as is most likely the case if you're using tap or even drinking water),the vinegar will react (its a weak acid) and cause the formation of insoluble salts. Such salts could very much be the cause of clogging your washer joint.
Its much better to use dishwashing detergent in a very small quantity. The best is obviously to just use windshield wiper fluid.
