Today I travelled on my Yaris 1.3 ATIV CVT on M2 and M4 with four adults and trunk full of bags. While driving at around 110/120 kph I felt the car swaying left and right too much. I am using stock tyres. The handling was not very good. Anyone else who can share their experience and how to improve Yaris handling at motorway speeds?

same observation/experience while travelling LHE to KHI.
its on stock tyres & it sways. don't know what is this issue.
do i have to use bigger tyres to prevent this from happening or there is some other issue ?

Tyres won't change anything. They can improve road grip only. Instability at high speeds is related to aerodynamics. Both yaris and new honda city have these issues. Surprisingly Saga and Alsvin are very stable on motorways.

My experience is exactly opposite. T-Link app works flawlessly. One thing, to use t-link you must also connect your phone with "Bluetooth Audio" and T-link

This is not good considering the car is fully loaded. Could be alignment or could be due to smaller tires and crosswind conditions.
Comments from those with 195/65 tires driving on motorway, would be useful

I don't think it's alignment. Sway is usually felt with cross winds. Like i mentioned previously you cannot imprpve these things by just changing the tyres. It's lot more than that. I studied aerodynamics as a hobby. Engineers test airflow in wind tunnels or a cheaper method is to use tuft testing which anyone can perform. Then they add/remove different parts like vortex generators, lip spoilers, side skirts, air dam, rim design etc to improve the high speed stability of a vehicle.

First test mules of next gen Yaris/Vios spotted in Thailand. It is rumored to launch in Q3 of this year initially with 1.2 (and probably 1.5) N/A engines followed by a hybrid model in 2023.

With only 2 months left before launch, test vehicles have shed their heavy covers for camo wraps making the design much more clearer.

I am interested in the specs of hybrid version and I hope Indus launch hybrid yaris in Pakistan maybe after 4 or 5 years

True but in Pakistan, Indus hasn't even bothered to launch facelift of current Yaris yet, we'll have to wait at least 2 years for next gen.

There are rumors that it will have the same engine and hybrid system as 2nd gen Aqua.

I can't spill more but an addition on electrical controls on high end trims also on cards.

Today while coming back from Patriata I had a scare and near miss on expressway. I was driving my Yaris 1.5 Ativ X and I was alone in the vehicle. It was raining and I was at speed of 80 km/hr while coming down. On one turn which is very near to Bahria I thought I am going slightly over speed. So I pressed brakes. But as soon as I pressed the brakes my car back wheels slipped and I lost control of my stearing and I was going straight to the middle bisector. I don't know how my mind worked and I raised my foot from break and turned my stearing to other side. Now the stearing worked and my vehicle moved towards the other side barrier. Again without pressing brakes I corrected the stearing and got control of my vehicle.
1. I know it was mainly my mistake that I was going at 80km/hr on a 60km/hr descend and that too in rain. But the way the vehicle slipped then what is the use of electronic braking distribution (EBD).? Why was there no traction control? I have driven my GLI many times in more rain and more speed but never ever got such a scare. My tyres are stock and just driven 14.5k.
2. I was alone in my Yaris so that might also be a possible reason for the slip. But I have learned good lesson now. Never ever expect the same level of road grip from Yaris as compared to GLI or Altis etc. They are heavier and lower and have better road grip.

That incident is indeed scary. You were fortunate enough to control the vehicle again. I had a little similar incident too, but in my story I was on a highway with my fully loaded Yaris at almost 80 kmh. I tried to overtake a truck, but then had to slow down and apply brakes as the overtake seemed impossible. As soon as I pressed the brake pedal, my Yaris suddenly swerved to left side and at this very moment the brake pedal was still pressed. The car control was almost lost and I did the same as you: removed my foot from the brake pedal and steered the car to the centre of the road. If it hadn't been my instincts, I would have been out of the road and down into the ditch. After the incident, I went to 2 different 3S dealers and complained about the brakes, but to this day it hasn't been resolved and remains a mystery. Maybe some senior Pakwheelers can guide us all. Lesson learned: can't trust my vehicle because of its abnormal behaviour, and now I drive slowly and very cautiously.
