After seeing today's update, I have decided 1.3 CVT is best value for money.

Color range is excellent, love the dark blue but hard to maintain.

I hope they give ready delivery at launch.

Agree with others that if 1.5 ativ is close to 3 million, then better save up and buy 1.6 Altis which is slightly bigger and better looking.

1.3 CVT would be the best option, hope it is reasonably priced.

Expecting similar differences as compared to Corolla Gli 1.6 and Altis 1.6 in the 10th Gen Corolla.

They had a 125k price difference. Here we might see a 150-175k

Major differences are engine, aircon, DRLS, Entertainment unit.

I cant see power mirrors printed anywhere in the brochure. I thought they will give retractable mirrors in Ativ variant but seems like since they havent printed this in the brochure it wont be there even in top of the line variant ! I hope thats not the case a car with so many good features must get this one as well

I dont know why some of the members here are saying that 1.6 Altis is a better buy. Yes I agree Corolla looks better has a better road presence it is bigger and more spacious ! But thats it ! What else are you getting in 1.6 Altis ? I kept 1.6 Facelift Altis for 1 year and I must say the car has really bad fuel average (within City fuel avg is pathetic) car is a fuel guzzler ! Yaris 1.5 CVT will have much better fuel avg than 1.6 Altis. Other than that you are getting tons of features in yaris top of the line variant. Just look at the safety features and the charm and comfort of smart entry, push start, climate control etc. You dont even get power retractable mirrors in Altis 1.6 which is a much needed feature for a car with such big dimensions its not easy to close the mirror manually whenever you have to go through any tight and congested spaces
And lastly the transmission ! That old 4 speed auto just kills the potential of such a nice 1.6 ltr engine. Watch some videos of 1.6 ltr corollas with CVT (international markets) and compare them with our budhii 4 speed auto transmission !
I am not saying Yaris Ativ X is better but atleast wait for sometime let the car come take a test drive atleast and then decide or pass any comment

Why not CVT? I may have to make a similar decision as well once I have mu budget situation sorted.
I have heard this CVT is good with better fuel economy. The CVT lag will be there but with ease of drive in urban rush hours. It won't be as responsive and exciting as a manual one but now the age of manual if almost gone it is becoming a niche market. So far I have assumed the 1.3 CVT ATIV is value for money but GLI CVT is the model to choose if have some budget constraint.

I believe Manual response would be quicker if some one has to travel through highways and GT roads . It must give better fuel average then cvt. Third for long term , MT maintenance cost would be Lower then Cvt.
Thats my thoughts . Criticism Is Welcome!

Yes agreed to most extent, but I have a feeling this information specially the fuel average is getting old, the older auto transmissions were bad at fuel economy but not anymore. Well the road test will confirm average but Toyota India official figures also say CVT have better average by a thin margin.

And I guess you have to pay some price for the convenience in form of maintenance although they also say the modern CVTs last longer but than you never know what Pakistani roads & driving habits will do to them.

So I have inclination toward CVT specially with that manual M mode available (can be used in highway crossing by putting it in lower gear manually, no pedal shifter though which would have been easier & fun to use) also with hill assist & VSC & Traction control I guess the CVT will be good enough to drive in most situation.

Sometime you have to take a step ahead, leave the older comfort zone to advance, lolz

The thing is as Far the PKDM yRis goes, I have to visit when as Soon the yaris get available in displays, and I have to make a Very Quick Decision whether to buy it or Not!! Right now so far I am sure to book one up . If I have to get soon that means I would not be able to Get feedbacks which is better MT or cvt. And then Make a decision. So MT probably be for making a Quick Decision Part

It will stay. Worldwide Vitz has been discontinued to use a global name even Japan will use Yaris now.

The car coming into Pakistan is the fourth generation after the japanese (Platz, Belta), and asian (Vios, Yaris) So it's not going anywhere soon.
