Test drive units are seen so test drives will be available but after 27th I think
Delivery depends on booking. Initially it was said about April end but many people are willing to book it so it may get to May

Toyota now seems to be in some hurry all of the sudden, while previously they waited a little longer than they could have.

That means booking without display units and test drives will attract many investor cum dealers who will later claim OWN money. And buyer like us who would like to see and test drive the car before booking will have to wait longer for delivery.

so the good news is that Off-white colour is off the tables. only Super white available from base variant to the top of the line.

But the bad news is the old 5 speed manual transmission. No 6 speed even for the top of line 1.5 ativ X. 7 speed CVT is the one to go for no matter which variant of yaris

Lot of discussion on 1.5 ATIV CVT but not much on 1.3 ATIV CVT ... I don't see much of power difference between both and some luxury extra features. But if pricing difference is more than 150-200K than 1.3 is not a bad choice for those who are looking for a compact sedan family car.

Honda engine 118 BHP with 145 N.m Torque, Toyota 106 with 140 N.m Torque

why is that? this is engine to engine comparison regardless of weight of car . where does toyota lose in HP since its also lower in Torque....

BHP is calculated without any engine load. May someone here explain it better

If one wants to keep a car for lamba arsa.. something like 7.. 10 years. Is it advisable to buy manual or auto?

I have never owned an auto car but now I want to. But frnds say it is not advisable for long run and it will require high maintenance as oppose to manual car. And at some point gear box kharab ho jata hai and replacement cost boht hai etc etc.

I have 0 knowledge of auto cars so please advice/suggest.

People used to say things like that about 10-15 years ago. I'm surprised some ignorants still think like that and giving you wrong advice.

Autos are used everywhere in the world now. Manual has become a niche market. You have to try hard to find a manual in US now.

Just do manufacturer recommended maintenance i.e. transmission oil change at specified intervals and it will last as long as the car or engine.
