All you're posting is emotional stuff with not much facts.
Why no international brand ever comes to PAK and launches mainstream economy cars? Or even if they do, they go out of business?
Ever wonder why the parosi country is full of all international car manufacturers including cheap models from VW, Nissan, Hyundai, Ford etc. cars? Lots of sales too?
Because less than 0.3% of the population, the "elite" people like us, can buy new cars in PAK.
And that too mostly cars like Alto or Cultus or Wagon R. And above that price range, it's no even 0.1% of the population that can buy a new Civic or Corolla.
And the locally produced cars have to cut corners, remove safety and modern features to make them cheaper, just so more and more people can buy it. On top of paying HUGEE TAXES.
So, even after making the cars as cheap as possible, removing features, cutting corners, there is no major market of cars in PAK. The number of sales is too low compared to any decent car market.
so, spare your lecture, and come to realize that PAK is a very poor market to do business in.
There are huge taxes.
And there is no buying power. People are poor. 200 million population. 120-160k annual sales.
Yes, even when dollar was stable, the car sales were this low! And that comprises cheapest models too like Cultus, Wagon R, Alto etc.
First step should be to significantly reduce taxes. Allow imports. Only then some quality cars can be seen. Still the volume will be too low as we're a poor country with no buying power.
