if ur ground wire is also showing 12v then some other sensor is also messed up. i think ECT sensor also share same ground wire. check ect voltage as well. otherwise just try grounding the iacv to engine or btry -ve.

how many volts is the ground wire supposed to have?

i am certain there is a wiring issue as it busted up an IACV as well... installed another one and that too might fry very soon.

i FINALLY fixed the wiring issue myself! and i could not be happier to see that darn check light fade away.

the idiot electrician-mechanic-tuner had wired in the IACV positive wire in place of the negative and the negative wire to the PCS (evap purge solenoid). I moved the positive black/blue wire to A12 and negative orange wire to A13 and that did it!!!!

no more check light!

now all i need is a new iacv and my idling/ecu/wiring woes are over.

It can b done on a city but b4 doing anything u must search for actual WOT & CT values on service manual

i have already replied this on page 4, mostly answer is yes because they adjust this by hit and trial method so it can be out of calibration.

opened the throttle body today cleaned everything readjusted on ct i am getting 0.5 and wot 4.5v but as soon as i start the car ct voltage drops to 0.48 there is alot of difference in the car now its more responsive than before

Bro just attach a multimeter to ground & signal wire then move the throttle slowly with hand & watch the voltage increase.
If ur TPS skips any reading then it's faulty.
Do it 2-3 times to confirm
