Tracker installation in Kia Picanto

Dear PW,
I need a piece of expert advice, my friend is going to get the delivery of Kia Picanto in a week or so, the dealership is saying that it will void the electrical warranty of the vehicle if we install tracker and they don't recommend tracker in the vehicle.

It's a new car, therefore, we feel insurance + tracker both should be there for safety and peace of mind.
please let me know what should be done in this case.

Ask your insurance company if they cover you without tracker installation as insurance companies mostly don't cover vehicles at high risk over theft without tracker but for sure Picanto at present does not falls in that category

tracker can be installed without cutting any wire, if you use just tracking option and leave the remote engine cut off function.

comprehensive insurance will be best option for you. it will cover theft+snatching+accidental cases as a whole. tracker even if installed could be a very unreliable thing as it can be disabled easily incase of theft etc. if you need further guidance, inbox me. i am in insurance sector will sort it out for you.

The place these companies install tracker is in very easy access. My friend's honda city had a malfunctioning tracker and it randomly cutoff fuel every now and then, technical support from company was late, so i just bypassed it in 30secs.
Google about location of immobilizer id code box location and you would get idea what a stealth place is. Problem is no company wants to put half day to just install a tracker at hard to reach place. We do install custom made antitheft/tracker solutions and the job takes almost day, wiring loom routing without wire cutting or visible modifications.
