Well there are several sub divisions even in this line of work e.g. Transport is further categorized into smaller specialized segments of e.g. transport of goods, transport of crude oil (tankers) , refer trucks. transport of heavy machinery to hilly areas, low bed trailers for specialized cargo , oilfield services , car carriers and several others like it. It is important to find a niche market first and then setup a business.
The monthly income in all the sectors above is different and range from 100,000 per month to 300,000 per month and even more. But it is very hard to maintain an HTV and a fleet. plus 2 - 3 units is not sufficient for a business.
I would suggest you to integrate transport setup with IT.
e.g. you may choose your area of work, lets say isl, and offer services like road recovery trucks such as AA in UK. this service shall be accessible via phone, app etc. you will need small trucks in this line of work but a very good team
Second option is to offer home shifting services
third option is to have refer trucks and get them on monthly contract with companies like agility or TCS that will give a minimum monthly rental and you will not be managing it. This suits a lot of individuals because setting up your own infrastructure, offices, drivers, accommodations, inventory eats up too much of your equity and capital.

Sir , if I want to start with one trailer and have around 35 - 40 lac investment, then
1. Which type, model of trailer I can buy?
2. How much will be the monthly income roughly?

You may not be able to buy a new one.

FAW 220 is for 45 Lacks only prime mover. + 15 lacks for 40 feet flat bed trailer
FAW Single Axle Prime Mover - 30 lacks + 15 lakhs prime mover

Isuzu 17 Ft Truck 4.4. NPR 30 Lakhs.

The monthly income is greater for trailers but maximum 90,000 - 100,000/-

Advice : i would advice not to go into this line of work with this investment. Share your background and i will suggest you what you should do with the investment and if you are persistent to follow the transport line, then will advice you a specific area where you should focus on.

What a Joke??!!!

Over here I charge $5,000 for a Bdouble load from Sydney to Melbourne.It takes 24 hours to do such a load....

Chinese prime mover truck with 220 horsepower for a Semi trailer(single trailer) ??

Our rigid trucks have in access of 350 horsepower and my combinations are all powered by Cummins 700Horsepower and CAT 600 Horsepower....These rigs pull like a horse up and down on the highways
