Transfer of owner ship

I have a car bought in dec 2019 As it was first experience of buying a car as its my first ride. The car is still on open letter from show room is there any way to transfer to my name as I heared that open letter cars cannot be transferred.

you need to have CNIC of the last owner. then you can get it transferred to your name easily.

I sold my Toyota Fielder on cash & gave all the documents to the owner with the promise that he would get the car transferred into his name.....now 4 months had elapsed but he failed to get the registered into his name or might had sold to car to another person. The biometrics has also elapsed. Kindly let me know what to do as i have no docs with me except that the car is still on my name. The car Fielder was Islamabad registered. Thanx

police knock on your door at 4am ask your name & cnic number. You confirm that and they take you to police station. There they provide you pictures of a vehicle which is your car sold 4 months ago, and govt record show you as last owner. That car was destroyed in a blast outside a govt building destroying the area and several people lost their life.

There they charge you with a terrorism clause for 90 days non bailable offence.
you have no proof of sale of that car you have no clue who bought it from you where he took it.

Law require evidence of sale even if it was not transferred.. .. which you do not have. The fate you registered by yourself.

Bro try contacting the buyer if he responds ask him to transfer on his otherwise best option is to file an FIR against it

Secure yourself . Happened same to my cousin he sold a hijet wagon but the purchaser didnt transferred on his name after 2 years even one day fbr sent a notice of tax to my cousin including tax of that daihatso hijet which he didnt own now. He tried contracting the person but he didnt respond so he filed an FIR now the same person is begging to my cousin to help him

Thanks bro transferred to my name. An agent outside of excise office charged me 5000 and did the thw whole worl

For Islamabad number or elsewhere......write an application to **THE DIRECTOR EXCISE & TAXATION, ICT, ISLAMABAD with the car details and the CNIC of the buyer......after the application is submitted the grace period of 2 months / 60 days is given then Rs 2000 / month late fee shall be charged from the new owner.

Yes but if the car is in accident and there is a police case, the police would be looking for the person on whose name the car is registered. FBR would also be asking questions from the registered owner.

Write a written application with all details to Director Excise & Taxation Department ISLAMABAD giving details about your car.....Car Number, Engine Number, Chasis Number with your details & buyer details. After the application is received at the Excise & Taxation office, a grant period of 2 months is given to the buyer. Then a fine of Rs2000/- per month will be charged. Keep the application copy safe with you, so that in case it could be given as a proof.
